Hair turned pinkish at the rootsMy hair at the roots actually turned a dark pink/mauve. Is there another recommendation for a custom color. I was a natural red head growing up, now turning white and can't find the right color in a box to get back to red so was going for a strawberry blonde but if that turns my hair pink, looking for another recommendation. 1 of 1 people found this review helpful. My Golden Custom ColorThis custom color is a perfect color to add into my golden tresses. It didn’t burn my scalp and I am thrilled it looks so natural but yet gives that beautiful mahogany color coming through. Not the colour in mindI was very excited to try esalon’s custom colour however it just didn’t deliver what it promised. Asked for a dark copper colour and have been given a flat, dull and dry maroon red colour. The process has left my hair in a state to which I’m not sure what to do with it. If you feel you have been losing significantly more than this, you may have had an allergic reaction. We have reached out to you via email with more details on next steps and how we can help get this resolved for you. In the future, we recommend performing a skin allergy test 48 hours before each hair color application.
