Ruined my hairI would give zero stars but that isn't an option. The color was dull and lifeless which I specifically called about and after using it my hair was so dry and damaged. Not as good as it seemed.I loved the color the day that I did it. Every time I wash it, it fades back to almost my pre-color if I don't use the tinted love. I color was next to impossible to get out of hair when I went to wash it. Many of my greys have already lost the color and are showing through. Also the color I got was not solid. My hair has kind of an ombre effect when I was looking for all over color. I stated that I had a lot of grey hair and that it had been more than three months since my last color, so my new growth was close to 4 inches. In rare cases, one can develop sensitivity to hair color over time. This is why eSalon recommends performing a skin allergy test 48 hours before each hair color application. Instructions for the skin allergy test are included in our Product Safety & Usage guide with every hair color order. Custom hair colorI think the color is actually quite good. But, I normally use the temporary color. When I subscribed, I reported that, and ordered the demi-permanent, which was as close as I could see to the color I use that washes out in 28 shampoos. This product is more permanent than that, and while I think this color would be great for my annual permanent color job, it isn't what I want to use for color upkeep the rest of the year. Too darkIt is leaving my hair a darker brown than the red I was wanting. I know red is a difficult one to get right as there is a lot of "oranges" out there, but this is making my hair so dark that it is completely washing out my complexion leaving me pale faced! 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. cover grey rootsI have an ombre style hair color... my natural color is medium brown with 40% grey at roots. I color just the roots and then color natural fades to golden color from previous highlights(2 yrs ago). Wrong color! Very Dull...no shine at allI want to give this a good review, but I can't. It's one star for being inexpensive, nice packaging, great instructions, but this was a waste of my time. My hair came out the exact same color...and it was alot of work for no change in color. My hair felt horrible afterward. I used the two bottles sent for the first time, (one for roots & one for the rest of my hair), gloves, conditioner, and followed the instructions to a tee. I sent a picture of my before hair, explained what I wanted. One of the Copper options for dark hair. I'm disappointed. I'm not really wanting to change the color, even though it's nice that eSalon will work with you. My hair just felt horrible afterward and wasn't shiny at all!
