Inconsistent. Clown Red Roots!9/28. Update. Cancelling because they only sent me the right formula once of five orders and would not just send me the right one again despite phone calls and emails. The last one was just brown (no red) and left my hair sticky and coated after 3 washes! Switching to Madison Reed. Adjusted my color after I had clown red roots. Great! ...for one month. Then they sent me the shitty color again (after I confirmed they would send me the new formulation that actually worked.) They assured me it was the right one. Nope. My hair looks ridiculous. Alix cannot follow instructions. The inconsistency is making me cancel. I loved the color that was the right one. Wanted to Love ItUnfortunately this service did not work for me. I have resistant grays, which I specified when placing my order. I selected a color initially, and the colorist said that it would be too dark, so I agreed to something lighter. Because the color was so light, it did not cover my roots....at all....especially around the temple area. Additionally, after using the product, my scalp turned red and bumpy. It just so happened that I had a dermatology appointment 3 days later, and the doctor said it appeared that I had a reaction to the color - this has never happened before. Now I have a color kit at home that can't be used - I thought I had stopped my service but apparently I did not stop it in time. Way too dark and didn't cover graysI really am trying to like this product. I have used it three times so far and they've all been a fail. Color is way too dark even after asking them to lighten it and worst of all, it didn't cover my grays. I end up with hair that's different colors on roots and ends. Not happy with new colorI adjusted my color this last time which is not what I expected. I was told it was medium blonde with golden blonde, but looks more reddish blonde. Oooooh, that smell! :-(The smell was strong from the start. But for Step #4, stepping into the shower to apply the leftover color and massage to a lather, the strong acrid smell was overwhelming! It was too harsh and unpleasant. Once I was able to rinse thoroughly, it was fine again. Yuh know what, I also realized that I DO NOT like coloring my own hair to this and other reasons.
