Too dark based on previous commentsMy initial problem when trying to color my 51 year old husband's hair was finding something that brought him back to his natural dark sandy blond/light brown hair color instead of all-over gray. With my own mixes, it kept coming out with a ton of red, and I could never capture a natural looking hue. We've been close with the eSalon blends, but still finding too much red. This last blend has still not gotten rid of the hot red/gold tones, but now seems to be a level darker than what we had in the 2 previous mixes. Not what I expectedI found that the roots color was darker than I expected. And there was a bottle missing. It was a free extra color for roots I believe. Now that it's been about a month the roots color and hair color have blended nicely. 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Did you? |

Blonde with light highlitesLove the color. The highlites are perfect but it is a little harsh on my hair. Roots not coveredThis was the third time that color that was sent to me to cover my roots. This time, most of the roots covered but now they are a golden blonde in which have a red tint. Just OKI really didn't like the very strong smell of the product. I'm used to using ammonia-free colors. Because my hair is somewhat fragile, I think this product might be too strong for me. Color is very natural looking. I just used it so I will see how it wears. This went wrong for meI wanted to love this hair color, but this was very disappointing to me. When I initially chose a color, I could not see a light blond available in the choices that were offered to me. I don't know why, because I know now that there IS one. I chose the lightest one in that selection, which was medium blond. It was too dark, and too red. Since I have already used it, I can't correct my color. I don't like the color, but was told that I can't change it because a new hair color will only change natural hair (not previously colored hair). I liked the idea of having "personalized" color, but did not find it very personal. The process of applying the color is the same (nerve-wracking) process I have always used with drugstore color- trying to apply it to only new growth all over, including the back of my head. Ugh. It may be less damaging than drugstore color- I can't tell. Washing it out is a little strange as it seems to be thick and gel-like, requiring that you rub it off your scalp before you use the shampoo. I have bad hair- damaged, fine and thin dishwater blond. I had hope to find help using this hair color, but did not. It looks better lighter, so I'll go back to the drugstore color and hope for the best. 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Did you? |
