ridiculousI tried this system. Canceled it after the first delivery. Got a 2nd one. Called in and canceled, and was just charged for my 3rd one. Cannot remove my card information! sludgey crisco-like substance left on my scalpI've ordered a color set twice now, and this was basically strike 3 for me. Each time this happened before I blamed myself, assuming I hadn't followed directions or something. But I followed them to the letter this time and I had the same issue I've had both times I dyed my hair using the same product previously. Somehow, I've washed my hair 3x and I can still run my fingers through it and come up with white chunks of something sticky in my fingernails. I even mentioned that I had this issue before ordering the dye and the stylist acknowledged that it had been reported by other customers and because of this esalon was going to change the formula. I assumed it had already been changed, but apparently not. It's such a shame, the color is really perfect and I absolutely love the tint rinse but it's not worth dealing with the after effects of using this dye. It takes weeks to get whatever this is out of my hair and ultimately I end up fading the color trying to do so. Bad feelingI tend to go between getting my hair done professionally and doing it at home for 10+ years. I've never had a problem with coloring my hair either way. I enjoyed the simple instructions the kit came with and the fact that they included a second set because I have very long hair. HowEVER.... when trying to rinse it out per the instructions, it did NOT wash out. The water ran clear, before the shampoo/conditioner and after the shampoo/conditioner. My hair was left feeling gummy, sticky, waxy, and just generally gross in every way possible. I couldn't brush it out, couldn't dry it. I could barely get it into a bun or ponytail. I waited 24 hours before washing it again and while most of the yucky feeling came out, it's still there and I am in NO way impressed. The color is also much darker than I anticipated. I have NEVER had my hair feel this way after getting it colored in a salon or at home. I gave it two stars because I enjoyed the instructions and customization, even though I think my color is darker than i expected.
