Too bright redI had asked for the original hair color that you guys had made me. But instead a different color was sent and just for my roots. It is super obvious that I just colored my roots and not my whole head of hair. quality has declinedI have been using esalon for a little while now and each time I become a little more dissatisfied. There seems to always be more "gunk" left in my hair when rinsing out, despite following the directions to do a head massage with wet hands prior to rinsing. It takes a long while to get out all the residue. And this last time, my hair was left so greasy, I couldn't believe it. I had to wash my hair immediately - three separate times - to get it to go back to normal. I wanted to give them one more chance, because I do like the color, and then they just completely skipped my autoship! I'm scheduled for every 10 weeks, and they just didn't send it... Didn't cover any grayI don't have many gray hairs, but this color didn't cover any of them. I'm glad I applied the color all over instead of just my roots, because the color at my roots barely changed. I can still see where my roots are darker than any of the rest of my hair. I used the color all over because I was concerned the color wouldn't blend well with the older, faded color on the rest of my hair. In retrospect, I wish one of the experts at eSalon had asked a few more questions before making my color. I might have had better results. The color itself is OK. Not enough product to cover my rootsI received my initial order and used immediately. I followed the instructions but sadly there was not enough product to cover all my roots. I waited to try a further bottle before making a review. But the second bottle was double the price as the first was an introductory offer and again I followed the instructions and it still did not cover all my roots. I have shoulder length, but extremely thick hair. The colour is darker than what I usually use. I thought that it might last longer between retouching, as it is more expensive than my usual brand. Not what I expected!I was looking for something burgundy, I sent a picture with my request and got this reply from Freddy.... This hair color requires your hair to be pre-lightened and then toned to vibrant Purple/Violet, which is a service that is currently only available in a salon. However, we can adjust your color to include similar Purple/Violet undertones. I followed the directions exact and there are no purple/violet undertones at all.... my hair is actually a shade of brunette when my is originally a light shade of red, and auburn shade I guess!
