Made my hair reddish tone and brighterThe color is reddish tone when I asked for ash it was to keep red out of my hair. Which usually with ash it does. I was upset also to have grey hair still. The color did not stick to the grey nor cover it. I was impressed with the cute box and the fast delivery. I was also impressed with how much color you get it was enough to drench my hair. It did have a strong odor to it which even with my fan and door open I had to step out to breath. My hair is shinier and soft though. Not what I asked forI selected copper. Specifically said I do not want my hair to dark I do not want it to be Auburn. And now my hair is literally the color of cranberry sauce! Horrible 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Did you? |

Probably one of the worst hair coloring experience I’ve had.Not very happy with the color at all. If I could attach pictures I would. I stated I would like a color that brightens up my hair, that I don’t like too dark and want to not have any black. My hair color is a medium brown and was currently a little darker than I liked, but not black. Yet After the first coloring treatment with esalon I now have jet black hair. I’m very discouraged and will not be ordering again. Plus the ease of the whole process is a mess. I would be happier with a one step situation and this was many. I’ve used many box colors before with way better outcomes. Also I did use the stain preventive and it didn’t work at all, neither did the one wipe provided. Too dark and some residue?I order a dark brown and it was almost black. But a very nice dark brown color, I just can’t pull off such dark hair with such pale skin. Also a section of my ends had some kind of waxy residue left on it that I had to wash 3 times and rinse with acv to finally get out. Horrified at my dark locks.Under the recommendation from my friend, I was interested to try Esalon out but am horrified that I have gone from a warm rose gold to a flat dark brown, with uneven tones. Although delivery was speedy from the USA to England. I cannot say that will be recommending Esalon to my friends & family. I now have an appoint with a colourist to see if she can salvage my colour. God only knows how much this will cost to put straight. As for Esalon’s “100% guarantee or its on us”, I can’t see how to complain & judging by all the negative reviews online, I will have to put this down to a hard & expensive lesson as I should have done more research prior to ordering from Esalon.
