Something UnexpectedI was three quarters grey. My original colour was a dark ash blonde, when I was younger. I remembered the lovely sun-kissed highlights during the summer and thought that's what I wanted to go back to. However, my colourist--Paul C--sent me something unexpected; what I can only describe as the dark ash blonde I was before the summer sun got to it, and it's perfect! I'm 47, and I think the lighter colour I expected would have been too "young" looking for me. Thank you for the lovley choice of colour and the fantastic grey coverage. Nice surprise!When I saw how much darker the shade was at first, I was very skeptical. But when the whole process was done and the next day I received lots of compliments....I was really happy with the new change! Best Color for Auburn covering GrayI am over 50, have dark brunette hair and am about 45% gray and white at this point. I refused to go blond because with my light skin, it would just wash me out. Therefore, my only choice is to go lighter with a red. I chose an Auburn and had been using a well known box color for years. Then, I discovered eSalon! What a wonderful change. They had me send a picture, asked me what I wanted and tailored my color to ME and my skin tone. Now my color looks so natural and I get complemented regularly! I have used the service for a year or so and can get an order as often as I like or skip when I need to. I can't ask for better service. When I want to change up the color I just send another photo and ask for the color to be tweaked and the colorist does it. Then I get an email asking if it turned out how I wanted it to. Love it, love it, love it!I have been using pros and box color for years. Pros never got my color quite right. It was always too green (brown) or too copper or too violet. Also, the toll pro and box color took on my already fine hair was really dramatic. Coloring would severely dry out and tangle my fine hair to that point that would delay touch ups because I didn't want to lose so much hair so often. eSalon has changed all that! The two different color mixes for roots and ends is brilliant. Color rinses out in the shower twice as fast as any box color I have ever used. Also, the Lock It and Love It products made comb out a breeze. I probably lost about 1/20th of the hair I usually lose post color - maybe even less. I love this color!I've been using eSalon color for a couple of years now, and I love it! I had a great colorist in a salon but it just got too expensive. I tried buying from a beauty supply store but had to buy everything separately, besides I don't have the knowledge to mix colors like a colorist. So I tried the box color, it seemed easier, but the color was more flat and it didn't last. I saw eSalon on Facebook. I filled out my profile, I sent in photos (that's up to you) and I described my goal for color and chose ones I liked. I wanted their opinion and the colorist suggested a color for me. I loved it and still do! You have a personal colorist with eSalon so you're able to adjust the color if you want, and if you have questions you can email or call! They're really nice! The color lasts so much better, my hair is shiny and healthy looking. It's so convenient shipped to your door with everything you need to do 1 application, including personalized instructions, 2 pair of gloves, and the shampoo and conditioner for afterward, which smell amazing!
