DisappointedI really wanted to like this. The ordering process was simple, the products arrived in a reasonable time and everything was packaged nicely. The directions were straightforward and simple. I truly expected everything to go smoothly. Unfortunately, the results were a disaster. I requested a dark blonde shade to even out my growing partial highlights and get rid of my roots. What I got instead was a bottle that said dark blonde but in reality turned my hair into a medium orangey brown! The color is awful and nowhere near the results I expected. I would have been better off using a box color. I'm extremely disappointed! Edited to add: I will amend this review as soon as a fix is received. My colour stayed the same, no copper or red...just brown.My first order was back at the beginning of May 2020. Everything was going great until after a couple of weeks, I noticed that my shipment had not moved from a sorting facility in Los Angeles. Understanding that there were to be some delays during the COVID-19 pandemic, I reached out to eSalon through email to find out what may have happened. Assuming USPS had lost my package, the person I spoke with said that eSalon would send my order again at no charge. Great! I waited a few days, and my order shipped like usual. This time, eSalon used a different mailing service. I live in Ontario so I knew that it probably wouldn't be here in just a few days. About 3 weeks later, I received my hair colour. I washed my hair the night before and it was too late in the evening to start colouring so I decided to wait till the next day. The colour I choose was a Medium Brown Copper Mahogany. My hair had a grown out balayage with a warm, golden blonde on the ends. The process of dyeing my hair by myself was.....messy. I used the bowl method instead of the bottle and was also in a hurry because I wanted to get it all done before my daughter woke from her nap. (No surprise, she took a short nap.) The mixture was not nearly as smelly as the stuff you get from the drugstore. The mixture was turning purple in the bowl and I didn't think much of it because the colour of the mixture is not necessarily what's going to be on your head, correct? Anyways, I read all the instructions, proceeded as normal and then washed it all out. When choosing the colour, I assumed my natural hair colour was a medium brown, but maybe I should have said it was a dark brown because the end colour I got was basically just brown. It turned my lighter ends a dark brown and there are no obvious hints of copper. Maybe I chose the wrong colour, but I was expecting a medium copper red and got brown. Not the colour I asked forI sent in photos of my current hair and somehow ended up with a red brown colour. At my roots it looked awful, like Duncan bannatyne. I've had to go out and buy cheap box dye to cover it as it was so bad. 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Did you? |

Luv the color....butSadly like all Haircolor products, my grays still show! I have to just come to the conclusion that I need to embrace this. Bad outcome Wrong ColorMy "custom color" for my long light blonde hair is completely wrong. I requested a golden copper blonde as I was looking to go a little ginger darker blonde. The outcome is very dark brown/black with purplish undertones! Seriously crazy! How does a strawberry blonde shade turn out like this. I was given a 2 step system bc I am so light blonde I was told step 1 was to put pigment into my hair well after step 1 my hair was black so step 2 didn't work except to add a slight undertone of what I guess was supposed to be copper but instead has some purple /copper coloring. I called and was told that since I am blonde I must have porous hair and it took in to much of the toner. So ladies if you are blonde be careful bc they told me i cannot do anything about this until it fades out that is unless i want to STRIP OUT my hair (NOT) however i can start washing my hair with dish soap, really? I never take time to leave reviews but felt I needed to in this case. I will say that the packaging was beautiful and the sample shampoo and conditioner was lovely but take caution if you have light hair and are trying something other than you normal shade. 0 of 0 people found this review helpful.
