Excellent hair color!I’m naturally a brunette but have enough gray that I decided to medium ash blonde. Usually I pick up a couple of the better hair color brands at the drugstore to accomplish this. Cue the pandemic and getting out of the house is less appealing so I decided to try eSalon. I liked the question process although I had to ‘trick’ it to get the lighter blonde color I wanted. Otherwise everything has turned out well. The color is a bit red, almost strawberry blonde, but I think a toner will fix that. Definitely a good purchase! 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Love the color and shineI love the color that was prepared for me. The hair wasn’t dry after the application either. I took one star off because there was strong chemical smell while I was mixing the color. Still a nice colour but not quite as amazing as last timeApplied according to instructions but unfortunately my roots are noticeably more coppery that rest of hair. Still a lovely colour but annoying as the last batch had evened my hair out, so a bit disappointed. I can only assume that the 30 mins on roots, 3’mins on rest of hair timing is a bit out. No embarrassing rootsI haven't colored my hair in at least 6 years, probably 10 for two reasons. One, the salon cost $100 after tip and my roots were back in so soon - I hated the skunk look, which seemed to last longer than the new color. Secondly, I started to do it myself with box color from the stores, and the look after two weeks was awful, different shades and it seemed to just never match. For the first time, and I waited a few weeks before writing this review, there is no root discolor, or basically eSalon gave me a perfect match. Thank you eSalon for such a great match! I chose the semi permanent because as the grays come in they seem more natural and blended as if I wasn't coloring my hair at all. I also think that it is gentler on my baby fine hair. Color faded quicklyFive weeks after I used the second application (the new adjusted color) I noticed a small section of my gray hair was already faded. Not just the roots but the entire piece. Since I have already received the 3rd shipment, I will use the product once more, but I would like to cancel my subscription as of now. The color was great, but dear God, the fumes!The color was great, but dear God, the fumes! I like the color, but may need to go darker. The one thing that was really notable were the fumes.
