Made my hair sticky, and un able to style or even brushMy hair is sticky after using esalon dye. There was a paste that was under all my finger nails as I tried to wash out the hair dye. It took an hour to get the hair dye out of my hair and it's not all gone. I'm not sure why this happened. I've dyed my hair at home many many times this has never happens before. Our gel color is crafted from highly pigmented professional-grade dyes, which can feel heavy if not totally washed out per your Personalized Instructions and sometimes requires a little bit more shampooing than other color. To thoroughly remove the color in the future, we recommend that you bring any leftover hair color in your bottle or bowl, fill it with water and mix it together. Then, after tilting your head back, pour this mixture onto any areas you applied color and deeply massage it for 2-3 minutes prior to rinsing. This will seriously help to loosen any residual color and prevent staining on your scalp. If you still have this feeling, we then suggest using a color-care clarifying shampoo to remove any of the remaining residue from your hair, leaving it feeling fresh and squeaky clean. |

Not quite rightThe stuff seems ok. But not enough better than what I usually use to warrant spending the extra money. And I really don't want an auto-ship. The color was not quite right, but I am sure they would adjust it for next time. But it's too expensive. Did not quite cover the roots of my hair, even though you leave it on the roots for 15 minutes before adding to the ends. I applied specifically extra to the gray around the front of my face and it did not cover it, nor did it cover much of the rest of the gray. 0 of 1 people found this review helpful. Did you? |

Great color .... just for me !!I have always had my hair done by a stylist.... finding the time, money was always hard.... I would wait until "desperation mode".... Now I can do my hair on my time for a great price.... I get tons of compliments !!! I just did the highlights tonight and wow.... it wasn't super easy and I probably didn't do the best job, but when my hair dried the highlights are subtle and beautiful !!! Great product!I was extremely nervous about using this product to color my roots/greys, especially because I have naturally light brown hair, I'm about 70% grey and I have my hair professionally highlighted light blonde! I don't have the time (usually 3.5 hours) every 6-8 weeks to get my hair done so I tried this. I was shocked!! the color matches my roots perfectly and covers about 99% of my grey! I've saved so much money and time using this color. Now I only have to go to the salon every 12-16 weeks instead of every 6-8. The only 'not so great' thing about this product is that when you go to wash it out, the color is caked on your scalp. It takes me about 20 straight minutes of using my fingernails under the water in the shower to get all the color (which ends up being like a paste) out of my hair before I can shampoo and condition.
