Pretty good!I got the color matte ash dark brown. I like having ashy/cool hair and don't like any red in my brown hair. It turned out pretty good! I was hoping it was going to be a little more ashy though. My color still has quite a bit of red coming through, especially on my roots. But other than that, it turned out a nice, shiny color. I loved the boxing, everything was beautiful. The only thing I did not like was that the dye is hard to wash out and it leaves a sticky film around your roots area. Wrong item sentThey sent me the wrong item and when refunding it they wouldn’t reimburse for shipping. I refuse to order from them again but now I am stuck getting emails nonstop from them and multiple times tried to unsubscribe but cannot get my email removed. Hair colorSince my first shipment the color hasn't been quite right. And it takes a lot to wash this stuff out. My hair feels like lard is in it and need to wash 2-3 times. I'm not happy with the product. 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Did you? |

To help avoid the issue of the hair color being hard to rinse out in the future, we recommend that you bring any leftover hair color in your bottle or bowl, fill it with water and mix it together. Then, after tilting your head back, pour this mixture onto any areas you applied color and deeply massage it for 2-3 minutes prior to rinsing. This will seriously help to loosen any residual color and prevent staining on your scalp. Again, we apologize for any dissatisfaction with your color. Natural looking dark brown color for gray hair coverageI've used esalon to cover the gray in my dark brown hair for several years. I've gotten better at applying my color only at the roots every 5-6 weeks. I'm about 50-60% gray at the temples and less at the back and crown. I think my color is more multidimensional than my friends with dark brown hair that is color treated at salons. I just used lightlab this week with noticeable yet subtitle results. The bleach step did not lighten more than a few shades and the result after the toner is really nice color and a safe bet for first time use. Fantastic colorI can't tell you how often I get compliments on my hair color. Most people think it's my natural color and are amazed I color my hair. I've been using this product for years now. My hair is extremely healthy not at all dried out like it was when I used cheap boxed color kits. Hair continues to come up too red/goldMy hair was a hodgepodge of gray and dark blonde roots and over processed ends. The formula did a really good job of bringing all the colors into a nice blend. I really love the addition of pearl for shine. Even though I cautioned the colorist in my notes that my hair comes up very red, the formula was not cool enough and processed too much red/gold. A neutralizing shampoo helps to tone that down. I sent pictures and feedback and am hoping my next formula will give me the cooler, shiny beige I'm looking for.I'm sorry to say the next formulation and the one after that did nothing to address the brassiness. I'm giving it one more shot, asking for a cooler formulation in hopes that we can get this right. I like the idea of this service. 😊 12/1/17 update: The last formulation came up a Carmel color on my roots. Still too much red, but better. I’m giving it one more shot. I’ve asked for an ash color base in hopes that it will neutralize the red.
