Can't believe I did this at home!I am so happy I found eSalon!! I've never had results like this from an at-home color. In fact, I've had really bad experiences in the past with drugstore box colors, that I haven't tried doing it myself in years. I just don't color my hair or I plan on paying a lot at a salon. Recently I wanted to go red so I went to a salon to make sure it was done right. The results were nice but the price was even more than they originally quoted me. Made me so mad b/c I called ahead to confirm the price beforehand. I immediately started looking for a cheaper alternative. I literally just did my hair yesterday with my eSalon color and I am crazy happy! I still can't get over the quality of the color system, and all the little packets of stuff that came with it. All the personalizing is awesome. I can adjust it anytime, ship it as frequent as I want, and look up helpful videos anytime I need them (like coloring the back of my head, which is a challenge to say the least!). Nice Color - Easy to AdjustI have always had to go darker to avoid brassiness and frying my hair. With the online feedback tool (and the extensive initial input questionaire) and some minor adjustments, I now have the best color I have had that is closest to my natural color (without grays of course). 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Flat. Different colorsI did not like the fact that 1. I only received 2 bottles when i made it clear i had long thick hair, so I did not have enough product to evenly distribute and its not like I could run to a beauty supply shop to match the color since its supposedly "custom made". 2. The 2 bottles I received were two different colors. One for roots one for ends. I did not like this since I color my hair from bottom to top since my ends need more saturation. I also just wanted one color. The color itself was too flat. I wanted a shiny chocolate brown and got a flat dark brown black mix. I also specified I was trying to hide the red in my hair and these colors had a lot of red in them to begin with. While washing out the color it made my hair very coated and took me 5 shampooings for it to feel normal. Overall wasnt satisfied and canceled subscription. The reason I give it two stars is because I did love the packaging and the personal touch, and the price was good, but I've done better mixing color myself from Sally's than this "custom color" 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Color was beautiful but...The color was rich and beautiful but it was simply too dark. I ordered a dark brown but it really came out nearly black. I got asked over and over ‘you dyed it black?!’ I just didn’t feel confident for nearly a month until it began to fade a little. I told esalon and they were eager to address the color mishap but just wanted to let you know to be really specific about your color needs as the dye does start out quite a bit darker than the color ordered. 0 of 0 people found this review helpful.
