Not what I expectedBased on the answers that I provided and what I wanted, I did not get what I wanted. The color was so much darker than what I wanted and in my opinion did not compliment my skin tone at all. It actually played down my skin tone. I have had way better results from box color bought from a drugstore. The instructions were confusing and the only reason for the 2 stars that I rated were for the smell. They listened!!I asked that my color be re-worked because I was spending a lot of time outside and up in the mountains. I asked that my color be lightened and added a bit more gold and no pearl. Previous color was pearl mahogany, now it is a beautiful reddish copper, which I love! Thank you so much to Stephanie S (my colorist) and to Silvia as well!!! 1 of 1 people found this review helpful. Demi Permanent Hair Color Superb!!I stopped using this brand years ago because I wasn't getting the desired results. I changed to another brand and lately was not happy with theirs either. I decided to give Esalon another try. They recommended I go with Demi-permanent since I was trying to grow out my gray! I can’t say enough about the color. It’s amazing!! Super coverage and beautiful shine!! It’s been four weeks, and the color looks no different than when I put it on. Totally different colour to what I asked forI asked for the same colour as in the pics I sent. I have very dark natural hair and it’s dyed red and the ends are pretty faded so quite light red. I like faded as it’s the only time I’ve ever had lighter hair. To note, my current red is red red. The dye I’ve been sent is plum. I didn’t realise this until it was developing in to a nice purple colour - I now have my unwanted very dark hair back with strong plum. Absolutely nothing like what I asked for.
