Issue Resolved - I LOVE my new colour!I am so glad I gave Esalon another shot because I am so happy now! I have had such a roller coaster of a ride with E-Salon. I really wanted to like this service because the price is right, the customer service is great, and the whole process is so convenient. My first 3 attempts with Esalon weren't great. I went with a demi-permanent copper and it barely coloured my hair. I couldn't notice a difference in colour at all. I had a few colour corrections sent to me but they just didn't make a difference. Thankfully I tried a 4th time and instead went with a permanent intense copper and now I LOVE IT! It is perfect. Vibrant and bright while not looking fake. Every day I get compliments on my hair and people think it is my natural colour. I will definitely keep ordering this. I am very very impressed. The only downside is that I do have A LOT of hair and I will have to order an extra bottle each time because there is just not enough in one bottle to colour all my hair. Also, I did read the reviews of the colour feeling gummy and making the hair feel awful. In the shower, I had a really difficult time washing the colour out of my hair, but I persisted! I ended up washing it 3 times (using the entire packet of shampoo that is included). I then conditioned it with the entire packet and left the conditioner on for 10 minutes. My hair felt super soft and sleek afterwards! So the trick is to just keep washing to get the gunk out, don't panic, and then do a deep condition. My hair feels so great now. Light Gold BlondI tried eSalon because I wanted to see if the color would last longer than what I buy at the store and do myself. My goal was to stick to my regular hair color. What I ended up with was a dark beige color. It turned out darker than I have ever been. I didn't like the dry, spongy-feel of my hair that happened with this product. I had to use tons of conditioning spray to get the tangles out. The "good" news is; this color is going no-where. I have even been using harsher shampoos to try rinse it out. eSalon was fun to try even if my experience wasn't 100% great. I think it would be good for people with dark hair because, like I mentioned, the color has great staying power. Just ok. Color was not what I was hoping.I've tried drug store boxed red hair dyes before, and never liked how they always seemed too pink-toned and unnatural-looking. I guess red is just challenging! Because I found my color to be not much better than those. I asked for a coppery red with no pink tones for my dark reddish-blonde hair, and I got a dark auburn-type red, with some pink. The company offered to make a new formulation for me, but I don't think it's likely to work out. I think the coppery red of my dreams can really only happen if I'm willing to spend $100/month for salon color. I also thought the customer service could have been better. I was given the impression before buying that someone will contact you for a consult about your color order if you have questions. I received no contact, and when I emailed about it, got a snooty reply back. Perfect ColorStephano got this right from the start. He suggested modifications to my original selection and he was right on! I must add that I'm a natural ash blonde and my eSalon color is better than the professionals who have been coloring my grey for 15 years at a far greater cost!
