Beautiful color, and perfect for my budget.I used to color my hair at home with store bought color and inevitably I would need to go to the salon to fix color that was darker than I wanted and somehow my hair would always end up with an artificial purple tone to it that I just couldn’t get to go away (it looks great on some people but doesn’t look quite right on me)- I get washed out easily). Enter eSalon- my color is dark brown with copper and mahogany and it’s exactly the the natural looking color that I wanted with warm tones that flatter my skin tone. I was dubious, but my color looks fantastic!I wasn't sure how this could be better than any other at-home color, but my color looks rich, is black enough without being harsh, it has multi-dimensional color and was soft and shiny for weeks. Love the product, but...I love the product and have been very satisfied with the color. However, recently I’ve been receiving shipments that are always missing something. Although they’re small items, it’s still so disappointing to open the box up and not have everything I need. Color was totally wrongColor was supposed to be a Bright Auburn and was actually a medium brown with no real red or copper tone in it. I've had my hair professionally colored and home-colored for years- I would have been much better off buying a box at the drugstore. No one looked at the provided pictures or tried to customize; all emails are form letters. Their "solution" is to tell you to wait at least three weeks to re-color and use buy color oops or clarifiying shampoo to try to get the wrong color out. Note that their guarantee will only get you a new ( hopefully right- but I can't trust that) box in 3-4 weeks or a refund of the $10 paid ( not shipping or other items). 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. New branding is awfulLet me preface this review by saying that I love esalon. I have been a customer since 2013 and I think the concept and product is amazing! In the past I had so much trouble finding a brand that worked and didn't dry out my hair or product very inconsistent results. My color is spot on every time, my hair is in great condition and I get many compliments on the color. Ok, now for my critique: I just broke into my newest color order and was shocked to see that the packaging/branding has changed. I am sorry about this but it is awful. It looks very dated, the color scheme is unattractive, and there is now a plastic sleeve that makes me think that you are not considering the environment. I am not sure what precipitated this change, I thought the previous packaging was great - very contemporary. If someone has bought the company and you can no longer use the previous branding colors/design, please redesign it. It's kind of depressing.
