Excellent coverage - a bit stinky and can burn eyes!My first colour was not great but it was tweaked and I go this as my second colour. I love the colour but it does still have a tad of red in it. I can just about live with that amount although I don't love it. However the coverage is excellent and stays put! With shop bought box dyes I was having to colour my hair every 3 or so weeks. I'm 4 1/2 weeks post colouring and I think I'll only need to colour my hair in a week or so. The smell is very strong. I also find the step where you fill the bottle with water and then shampoo it for 3 minutes leaves it pouring into my eyes and it STINGS!!! Exactly what I requested ❣️My husband cut my hair in a Bob and after putting eSalon custom color on the new cut I received so many compliments. The quality of products made my hair so shiny and healthy. My husband is an engineer and thought the instructions were easy to follow. We are both retired now, with the help of eSalon I want to return to having the beautiful healthy hair I had with eSalon. Exact colour I wantedI was a bit sceptical about this as I have a lot of grey and my hair was already dyed blonde, so I didn't know how the dye would react with my hair. When applied, the dye was an awful lot darker than the one I usually used, which was a bit alarming, however once it was washed off and dried the colour was perfect. I still had some grey showing through but it looked natural rather than uncared-for. My hair was lovely and soft and overall I am very pleased with it. WonderfulLoved the custom packaging first of all. The way they have 2 bottles, one for roots and one for ends is genius. And it's the closest I've ever begin to get to my natural color. UnevenI feel that although this is marketed as a custom colour, that isn't truly the case. When choosing the colour I added a picture of my current hair for reference which clearly showed that the bottom half of my hair was more vibrant than the top, but I feel that I was just sent a generic mix for my roots and ends based on my initial choice online rather than doctoring it according to how my hair is currently. I wanted the colour to appear uniform overall but I was given dark blonde/red/copper for my roots, and a red/copper mix only for my lengths. I was cynical before I even started as I felt that the red/copper mix on top of the already more vibrant hair would make the overall outcome unbalanced. Still I proceeded with trust but unfortunately I was right-the resulting colour came out much more vibrant on my lengths, resulting in an uneven overall appearance.
