Need to adjustI think I need to go a bit darker. This time the gray roots were covered but washed out a bit. Not custom. Better off doing research and going to supplier.I decided to try this service because I thought it would be better to have an “ expert” formulate a product that would be able to do what I needed rather than doing the work myself and taking a chance. I wanted a glaze that would freshen up my highlights and maybe blend some grays until I could get back to a salon. I received a “ light blonde “ Demi permenant color with “ 15 vol” developer. It was ok. The color was shiny. It darkened my highlights to a goldy yellow. I noted my natural roots looked slightly orange. When it came time for my next order I reported that my color was to gold and my roots had an orange tone. I asked for something to touch up my roots and maybe a glaze for the mids and ends. I received a reformulated product this time with “a tiny bit of ash to counter brass” I applied and my roots were now bright orange and my hair was a dark yellow. I shared my concerns with the service and at first was told I must have asked for the wrong product. When I explained to them that they were supposed to be the expert they changed their tune and offered to send me more product if I wanted to purchase it!!! I politely declined. They also told me they were not able to provide root touch up and glaze like a salon could. I had no interest in Spending more money on a service that did not work the first 2 x. I have since done the research and it seems the 15 vol developer was way to strong for what I needed the product to do which was deposit only and it lifted my roots a few levels. Also I’m not sure if the color had amonia which can also lift your color. So all I really needed to do was go to a beauty supply store and spend 6$. Can't fault itJust as good a result as having your hair coloured at a salon but at a much more affordable price. Very happy with the entire process: from choosing one of the personalised colours; to the prompt professional delivered product; to the easy process of colouring and through to the end result. My hair looks and feels in great condition. I'm so happy with the finished look that I've already referred at least 4 friends by email to your website. Used Dark blonde on med brown and grey roots - worked greatThis is the second time I have purchased this. I have med brown and grey hair. Prior to lockdown I use to get Roots tinted dark blonde and then get blonde balayage/highlites. Really pleased with the dark blonde colour from esalon. Helps to give lots of information about your hair including photo e.g I know I have red tones and told them I did not want brassy/ginger colour so they put blue in the tint so I got a more cooler colour. I put the tint on my regrowth for 20mins and combed it through for another 15mins ( slightly different to the instructions which stated to not put any on highlighted pieces but i did not want a line which is why I combed it through). Tint goes really dark like a mud brown when applying to hair and I did panic thinking it was going to be too dark but it came out like it should a dark blonde and my highlites are still blonde. It’s actually as good as the colour I got from Toni and guy and my hair is in good condition. Because...MATHI can’t believe how little this cost and how great it worked. I never color my own hair, I’m too scared. I have very long (24”) brown hair that I have professionally lightened with pale strawberry blonde highlights and a darker strawberry blonde base and lowlights. I thought it would be impossible to match my hair with a kit, but I was wrong! My first kit came, I did it by myself and it matched perfectly! I tried this first during the pandemic and thought I would cancel, but forgot and another touch up kit came, which I put away. I have been waiting for 2 months to get an appointment at the salon and I pulled out the second kit and - ONCE AGAIN - amazing results, perfect match. I spend over $200 for highlights, lowlights and a base color at the roots. This kit is $22, which you cannot beat, because...MATH.
