No more $200, plus gratuities, salon sessionsNever did I think I could color my own hair. I had been seeing the same colorist - whom I loved - for two decades. Then came the stay-at-home order, and I was stuck. I tried eSalon, based on the reviews in Allure - but with much trepidation and not a lot of hope. Surprise! Not only was my color perfectly matched, not only did the color cover my gray hair, but the results were comparable to those obtained at the very hi-end Manhattan salon. Really and truly. Great colour. Very good gray coverageMy first 2 goes with e-salon colour didn’t go well. The first was waaaaaay too dark and I had to remove the colour. Rich Color Fades Too SoonI was using a different mail-order coloring kit. I really appreciate the personalization of the eSalon kit, and my hair looked dark and rich after coloring. stubborn graysThe overall color and feel of my hair afterwards was nice. I was a little bit disappointed with the coverage of the grays. VERY IMPRESSEDI had dyed my hair using box dye about 2 weeks before using eSalon. I wanted to go back to my natural hair color (dark brown) because I had balayage that grew out & was starting to look brassy. The box dye looked okay at first but I noticed it fading fast & there were a lot of patches that didn’t dye completely. I LOVED how dark my hair was right after I dyed it so I wanted to dye it a soft black. I have very long, thick hair. The color from eSalon was PERFECT, the soft black looks so good and covered every strand of hair. I don’t see any patchiness. It also looks way better than if I were to use a box dye. I LOVE THIS!
