Not happy!I just used my first set last night. The ammonia smell was awful. Not happy with the results of the 2 bottles together. Roots are way darker than the ends. Too much contrast. You can actually see the defining line. Won't be ordering again. Used to Love it...I started using this product a while back and I loved the results. I requested a lighter shade and something must've gone wrong with the formula because the quality changed completely. I am now at the point of cancelling my order. I have looked for a way to do so but I cannot find a way online to cancel my membership. The color does not cover my grays anymore. After 2 washes it looks like I never colored my roots. Bad ExperienceWhere do I start? I was happy with speed of service, customization of color and appearance of product I recieved. My disappointment is far greater. My problems started with a long, drawn out ordeal: I expected 2, maybe 3 bottles. Instead I got 2 bottles of color and 2 bottles of developer. This confused me until I clearly read instructions multiple times. I was told to mix bottle of color 1 with a bottle of processor and place on roots for 15 minutes. Then mix bottle of color 2 with second bottle of processor and place on remainder of hair for 10 minutes. Go into shower and add rest of bottle 2, massage through hair (root to tip) and leave on for one minute then rinse. Shampoo with packet provided then condition with packet provided. During coloring, the chemical smell was so bad I had to go outside. The bathroom vent would not get the fumes out fast enough. My eyes watered. Afterward, my hair felt dry and rough even though I used shampoo & conditioner provided by Esalon. I liked the color in the end, but the process is too much. I'd rather get the store-bought permanent color with fruit extract that has very low odor and gives my hair great coverage and shine. Sorry Esalon.com 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Too dark, not enough voilet.My hair ended up too dark & not enough violet. The picture I submit on 4/4/16 isn't very accurate. It actually looks straight black. My first experienceThe first the I wash my hair it was so good I was so happy the hair was looking shiny and soft but after the second wash it was so dry and I dont undertand because I was using the shampoo and conditions from you. Product is over advertised; not that greatHair color did not turnout as aspected. I did not like the color and the feel of hair while wet; felt like greasy wet hair. There was a greasy residue on hair and in the rinsed water. Please cancel all future orders and close the account.
