I did pretty dang good for never having done this before!Well it was my first time with e-Salon so I’m sure that part of this could be user error. I did find it hard to wash out and make sure that I got it all out. I did this application June 1st and I am already seeing my gray roots. But that could have been my error. I have never colored my own hair all by myself before. I think that I should have gone a little darker, but I’m not sure. I learned a lot for my first time and the customer service was outstanding. I needed to call in twice and have them reship. But they had no problem with my request and changed the shipping address from my work to my home to help ensure that I received my shipment. Doesn't pack quite enough punchI have short hair with quite a bit of grey but want to keep it a mid-brown. Don't find this product has quite enough depth but am going to try a darker colour to see if that helps. In addition, there is a lot of solution for someone with short hair, but unfortunately the product doesn't keep once opened (have tried and it has little effect when used a couple of weeks later). Not really what I was hoping forHmm well I had very blonde ends on my top layer and a light brown on my underneath, because I dyed the underneath black about a year ago with almost white blond on top and just let it grow out for about a year and then a few months ago got a ash brown dyed and let it fade so that I could dye it this time to make the roots, underneath and blonde spots, would all be the same color... I told all this to the colorist and told her anything that would go good with my skin and even out all of my hair as long as it wasn't a gold base was fine and I was open to other color choices. But medium blonde was chosen. I have to say that I'm not impressed with the way it turned out. It's very very golden up at the roots and almost a gray at the tips. But the underlayer is way darker now and doesn't blend at all. I'm left with 3 tone Hair, even after I called to make sure it would all come out Even and beautiful and they said it should not problem with the color and formula they chose. But the worst part is with my very pale blue eyes and pale skin I look so dull, this dye had way to many golden tones for me. My goal was just even toned long healthy hair and this dye made my hair feel even my dry(more then a salon dye or even a few brands that I have tried at home) and tanglesome, I sure hope a few coconut oil masks candidate fix that.
