Great color/bad applicationThis is the third time I've used the esalon service for my hair color. They have tweaked my color to one that I do really like however the application part of it is not one that I enjoy. I understand I am not a professional but I have loads of experience in both applying my own color and having my color professionally done. The first time using it I don't recall any issues, the second time using it I couldn't get the color to rinse out, it felt like it seized up on my scalp and I literally had to scrub my scalp extremely hard with my nails in order to get it out. I actually emailed about it and was told to use a clarifying shampoo. I just applied this again today (thinking maybe I did something wrong or I was just the unlucky recipient of a faulty mix) and the same thing happened again. I had to scrub to get the seized product off my scalp. I followed the directions extra cautiously because of the last time and it still happened. I love the final color but am angered over the experience and unfortunately will be cancelling my subscription as a result. I'll fork over the extra cash to have it professionally done as I now lack confidence in myself and the products I purchase for home use. 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Did you? |

Color toneThe tone was not ashy enough for me. I really wanted an ashy cool tone, i tried to adjust my color 3 times for my next coloring, but the color i was receiving was still not what i was expecting. Hair Feels Full of ProductI will start of by saying the colour is great, I am just disappointed by how horrible my hair feels. I had now washed it 3 times (in one day) and it still feels sticky from product I am hoping the 4th shampoo will get the rest out. Also the mess!!! The application of root touch up was great but when it came to step 2 it was far too runny and went everywhere, so much so I had to stand in the garden as it was dripping all over the place.
