1st and only coloringI am happy with how the dark brown turned out, however I'm not happy with the product itself. I have never used a hair dye that burned my scalp and stained my skin so badly. I don't believe I will be ordering again unless I have someone to help me to deal with the drips and scalp stains. I'm disappointed because the color is exactly what I wanted, but it took 3 days and plenty of scrubbing to get the stains off, and yes I used the supplied stain protector and remover wipe. 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Did not cover grayI do not have tons of gray. Just enough that it becomes noticeable. Color received was very dark, almost black. Gray hair turned light brown. Disappointing. Wasn't the right colorThe color did not come out how I wanted. I was looking for a more auburn color and what I got was a medium brown. The box came with 2 hair colors and I followed the instructions, but still not happy with the color. 1st time this has happened. Very Pleasant Customer ServiceI have to give two stars for the wonderful customer service. Each individual I interacted with was a pleasure to speak with, receptive & followed through with whatever they said they would do promptly. However, my color change was from blonde highlights to my root base, with a hint of mahogany red. It was explained that the transition may take more than one service. This is because I needed a colorfill. The color was off though & quite red. I love red, but this was orangey red the more I looked at it. Also, my roots were dark brown. They sent me out a second color which would make my roots & ends the same color. I did a strand test & sadly there was no result. I sent pictures again showing the strand test result, or lack thereof. They did offer to make a new color mixture. At that point I did not want to stress my hair out anymore than it was. It seems my hair just does not take to this dye. The personnel are wonderful & the packaging is adorable with explicit directions. Make the decision for me, despite me voicing my opinionI'll start by saying that the dye is very good quality, easy to use and rinse off my skin, and left hair soft after application. My complaint is that I felt my opinion on what I wanted to do with my hair was ignored in ordering this. I asked for an overall hair color, I had gotten my hair dyed at the salon, and they made my hair more of a red than a copper, and I wanted to re-dye my whole head the more copper color I selected. When my color was sent out however, I was told they only made me a dye to re-color my roots, and received a complimentary ends touch up with my first purchase, all of which only kept my hair the same color it was before based on my pictures. I still used the dye, and like I said, it's a quality dye, and the personalized instructions are great too. I just wish they hadn't overlooked what I wanted as much. Their professional opinion is very appreciated, but maybe some conversation before changing things completely and sending it in the future would be appreciated. 0 of 0 people found this review helpful.
