Not as expectedI was initially excited about this product then I tried it. Would like more gray coverage (have just enough to notice) Didn't care for the burning sensation o my scalp going into the last 5 minutes so I rinsed early. The waxy feel during the rinse was worrisome but after a few shampoos my hair softened. The color is more of a black instead of dark brown with violet. Overall, I am disappointed. Very disappointed.I have been an esalon customer for approximately a year. I'd been extremely impressed with their products... that is until I tried the custom hair color. After my first order of color, I'd emailed requesting certain changes because I'd not achieved my desired shade. Great concept in theory, not happy with colorWhile I loved the packaging and the idea of this, and I know it showed in my booklet that there was a bit of blue toner in my coloring kit… I specified that I absolutely did not want any red color to my hair at all. I had recently removed red, and at home had finally gotten my hair to a very cool toned dark blonde. I wanted to try this for root maintenance, and followed the instructions to a T. It made my hair sort of a dark, faintly strawberry blonde, which I am very NOT happy with. In addition to that, I left the color on the full 30 minutes with no products in my hair, and it didn't even cover my grays completely.
