straw for hairMy hair goes down to my waist. After using esalon my hair was like straw. I waited for 3 days to wash my hair and when I did, the color started to come out. Most of the color was out of my hair by the 3rd week. Store bought color lasted longer and made my hair softer than before I used it. This color is not good for my hair at all. I do not want anymore. Downgrading review to 2 starsMy color is too dark and eSalon is changing it for the next shipment. They say that what they provided shouldn’t have made my ends darker. Well they are and now I guess other than getting clatifying shampoo there is nothing I can do about it. I guess I can go get highlights but the whole point of this was to move away from expensive salon visits. Hair colorThis is my third time using my custom color, for some reason it was a little darker than before. It did cover my grays wonderfully , and I do like it a lot, but just a little darker than I would have liked this time. I'm not really sure why this happened . I thought I'd be really happy with your product but unexpectedly disappointed!Hi, I've not been at all happy with the colour, it's kind of brown not red, flat, not tonal, it does not cover the grey very well, the dye is extremely chemically, the chemical fumes about take your eyes out and I couldn't breath, never experienced that with any other dyes and it was quite frightening. Thought maybe it was me not shaking it long enough the first time, but the same second try and I shook it plenty. And I don't like the plastic moulded packaging you use inside the box to encapsulate the bottles, this should have cardboard and the totally unnecessary square plastic slip you put the instructions inside. They don't need to be inside anything, they are of good enough quality paper and you certainly should not be using additional plastic! What are you thinking! It's costing you more and so bad for the environment. You have a moral responsibility as a business to safeguard the environment! I hope you remove these two items from your packaging. I think I'd like to cancel my order, I get better results with a £5 Nice and Easy 8WR Golden Auburn. Please can you ring and advise how I do that. Thanks 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Gentle on scalp but no gray coverageI liked the personalization, the instructions and everything that came with the kit was excelent. The color was what I wanted at least in the bottle. The first issue that I had was the strong smell of the ammonia or whatever chemicals the formula had, it was very difficult to breath and to keep my eyes open during application however, it ended up being not as damaging for my sensitive scalp which was a good thing and very important for me. The second issue is that it did not work at all to cover the few gray hairs I have. Too hard to rinse outI have had three sets of dye from eSalon now, and they have all been disappointing. I wanted a dark brown with purple. No matter how much they increased the amount of purple, it wasn't noticeable in my hair, so I just had very dark brown hair. I bought the brush and clips, and followed the instructions to the letter. When I came to rinse the dye out, a solid gel-like patch formed over my scalo and would not budge. I ended up shampooing several times before my hot water ran out and I had to give up. The colour did not last on my hair. I got perhaps 6 washes out of it before all the dark colour had washed out and my hair was back to my normal medium brown again. After reading other reviews I was so excited about giving this company a go, but the whole thing has been a disappointment. 2 of 2 people found this review helpful. Did you? |

Despite Specific Information on my hair color turned out redI made a point of being very clear that my hair pulled red at the slightest bit of warmth added to hair color. Despite this information and asking for an Ash my hair turned orange/red after coloring. I plan to ask for a full refund. I will have to spend double what I would have at my salon to have a corrective color done to fix this mistake. The whole point was to avoid spending tons of cash at the salon. Has the formula changed?I just colored my roots last night and after 2 thorough shampoos, my hair is a greasy mess. I followed all instructions and rubbed the color so that it would rinse out easier. The formula, after being mixed, seemed oilier than the past formulations. I like how the color turned out but am wondering if the formulation changed somehow? My hair is very curly and normally dry, but it looks like I poured olive oil all over my head.
