If you feel you have been losing significantly more than this, you may have had an allergic reaction. In the future, we recommend performing a skin allergy test 48 hours before each hair color application. My hair is now purpleI did answer the questions about my hair color being dark brown with auburn highlights and I sent a picture of myself. What I received was dark brown mahogany. I had qualms about using it because of the word mahogany but there were so many wonderful reviews that I thought: what could go wrong? So, I trusted the color experts and colored my hair on Sunday. What I ended up with was very dark brown hair with purple. I'm so upset that I don't want to go out of the house. I trusted that my picture alone would have told this colorists that my hair was brown and Auburn like I had said. I absolutely hate giving negative reviews but I want anyone reading this to be very careful in answering and using the product that they are sent. How is purple related to auburn? I'm too trusting. I can't believe I did this. The only reason I gave two stars is because my hair is shiny now, the boxing was very professional the instructions were wonderful and everything was first rate except the color choice I received. Color doesn’t work on me I guess?I was given a second free color to try since my first box didn’t work. I even tried to go with a more extreme color hoping that would help. The color could not cover my grey hairThe color could not cover my grey hair. I called the customer service and someone sent me a permanent color which not only did not work but kind of bleached my hair to a lighter shade than my natural dark brown color.
