Love my color but...Love my color, I will be a lifelong customer. I would LOVE to give this 5 stars, but... It's WAY too difficult to rinse out. There's a waxy sticky feeling that you just can't rinse out no matter how long you rinse it, regardless of shampoo. I got a tip from my colorist to add baking soda to my shampoo, and it works like a charm, for squeaky clean hair after coloring. I was told they're working on improving the formula to rectify this issue, so I'm patiently waiting. This doesn't deter me from continuing to use this, because I love my beautiful rich color customized just for me! Although it's an inconvenience to go through the baking soda routine, I'm loyal and will continue to be patient for a reformulation. In my opinion, I think a shampoo packet with baking soda inside the formula should be included with the color kit. Otherwise, I'd recommend this coloring kit and service to everyone! Fantastic customized color, easy application (besides rinsing) and a fair price. I will rate 5 stars when rinsing is no longer an issue. Like GlueI was very excited to try this hair colour after the many good reviews. Application was easy, it didn’t irritate my sensitive scalp and it didn’t have a strong chemical odour. Then came the time to rinse. I have coloured my own hair for years and have never experienced what happened. If I had seen a similar review before trying, I am not sure I would have. I rinsed and rinsed and it felt like my hair was caked in gel or glue. I could bend it and it stayed bent. The water was running clear but it was clearly not out. So I used the shampoo provided three times before I felt like it was liveable. This took more than 30 minutes of scrubbing in the shower. Now I do love the colour, maybe a little dark but grey is covered better than some products I have used. Disappointed 😔We moved to a new area and I need color every 4 weeks and am hesitant about stylists that I don’t know. I figured I give this a try. I received my first box two days ago and was very excited. Yesterday I took a deep breath and said here goes nothing. Before ordering I told my “colorist” my exact products and colors my salon used and toners because I have highlights. I followed the directions precisely. I was worried because I have such dark hair bright white roots that the color provided wouldn’t do the trick, alas, I was right. I now have hot roots, my roots are lighter and a stark contrast to what color my hair is. It DOES NOT cover gray/white completely at all!!! Secondly, my husband was more scared with the amount of hair that fell out on to my shower floor a bit smaller than a tennis ball. It’s done I can’t go back. I need to fix it but am afraid that I will loose even more hair. Please be careful. In my sales profession, my appearance is the first thing that customers see and judge. Not the color I had beforeFirst and second time I went into Esalon I left with the biggest smile on my face because my hair was bright red just the way I wanted it. Third time my hair looked dark and i told her not to change a thing. In July I did my first mail order and explain that I wanted my hair like the first and second time. Well my kit arrived and I went to color my hair only to be disappointed again. Even darker. I just received my new kit which was sent on August 31 and it’s just sitting there because I don’t know if my hair will get darker again. Too dark for meMy former color, which was supposed to be Dark Blonde, made my dark BROWN, not dark blonde. I hope I am going to like the color I requested.
