Mix was a bit offI absolutely love the way the hair color makes my hair feel. It feels super healthy, looks shiny and I love that aspect. That being said the initial color swatch I clicked on said violet and there was no violet in my initial mix. Lots of mahogany though, and my hair takes to red really easily so it’s very red. My stylist consulted with me and we altered the color a bit so it has some violet undertones now but it’s still way too red. After a few washes, after my second batch of color, a lot of the violet undertones have disappeared and we’re back to the mahogany. Extremely dry, brassyI’ve been use eSalon for over 2 years and have always been satisfied. I’ve noticed the last two times I’ve dyed my hair how dry and brassy it becomes. I dyed my hair almost a week after I received my last shipment. I noticed right away my hair was really dry. 4 weeks later and it’s really brassy red. I’m normally very satisfied with my hair color but my hair feels like straw and I’m not using anything different on my hair to make it so. Great at first, but...I had been dying my hair blonde for years and was getting tired of seeing too much red near my roots that contrasted my length which had no red. I decided that it was time to go darker to try and get rid of the red and get my hair closer to its natural color. I was super psyched with the results after coloring my hair with eSalons light/medium ash brown. Not all, but most of the red in my hair was neutralized and it was a super flattering soft shade of ash brown. After less than two weeks, however, most of the color has washed completely out of my hair exposing more red in my roots. I think the most disappointing thing is seeing the length of my hair lose most of the new color and reverting back to its previous blonde color. Keep in mind that I only wash my hair every three days or so using a good brand of shampoo/conditioner that's sulfate-free and specifically for color-treated hair. Not only that, but I also use eSalon's Tint Rinse two times a week as well as their Universal Leave-In every time I wash my hair, and their Weekly Retreat once a week. I also don't use any sort of styling product in my hair. Being someone who has struggled with getting their hair color where they want it for a long time, I'm pretty disappointed as I don't like the idea of having to do all-over color every time I color my hair and paying over $25 each time. 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Think your product is good but. . .I liked this product from the start. My hair was soft and silky after I colored it. It didn't work for me or there was not a clear communication about how I wanted it colored. It covered the gray, but The roots were always black and the lengths were a nice maroon red. I kept asking for it all to turn out the reddish color, but it never did. I tried to color my hair four times with the product, calling and talking to a consultant each time to see if we could adjust the root color. Now I have my daughter's wedding and I really want to have my hair all the same color. I will need to go to a salon (which I didn't want to do). Issues w covering grey hairHi thanks for your time reworking my custom color. Grey coverage an issue for me not sure if I need to be a shade lighter ? Typically color my hair “golden blonde” as most of my head is grey- this sides and my part are very noticeable between coloring. My experience is that Ash color does not jibe-turns my hair more dusky green -it’s a lot to ask but any suggestions are appreciated /thx 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Did you? |

Only dyed it yesterdayMy hair is long & black there was enough dye which was amazing usually I have to buy 2 , loved the 2 pairs of gloves the brush the barrier cream and the wipe for removing dye , it’s too early to tell if the grey roots will appear after a week as my old dye never seemed to stick to the grey my hair feels good , I’m happy with the results I will review it in a week & get back to you if my roots are still good.... 2 weeks on my grey roots are showing the colour seems to have come off the grey rather disappointed the price would buy me 4 boxes of my original sorry loved everything that came but for me it hasn’t worked out 0 of 0 people found this review helpful.
