Leaves hair oilyI am not sure if it's the shampoo or the color, but I have to wash my hair with my own shampoo to get the oily and goopy feeling out of my hair. The first time I colored, I thought it was the conditioner. I didn't use the conditioner the second time and my hair still turned out horrible feeling. The color is good and lasts as expected. I just can't figure out how to make my hair feel clean after coloring without rewashing it. Also, don't get this in your eyes when washing it out. It pretty much blinds you until you can get lots of clear water in your eyes to flush it out. For optimal results in removing any residue, we recommend focusing on the Rinse Through Your Ends step after the timer goes off, in which you massage the leftover color into your hair from root to tip until it feels creamy before you rinse. Our experts advise that you can minimize discomfort in the shower by closing your eyes and tipping backwards until the color feels thoroughly rinsed. It was okLet me expand...I have always, the last few times loved the custom color created for me, but this time it came out very red and with no lightning of my hair so it seemed. gray roots still!I love the overall color but my roots are still gray! It did not color them to my satisfaction. I followed the instructions to the second. My roots are still gray.
