Doesnt cover grayThis is my second order. This new formulation was put on just as the instructions said to do and the results are very disappointing. I put the color on around my temple areas first then along the roots etc. Did not use the entire bottle as you said not to put in anywhere other than my roots so it would not be too dark. Well it covered my roots along the scalp and that was it. I left it on for 35 min. and the first sections I did around my face are still white. Not at all happy that I paid $25 for hair color that does not do even as good as store bought brands. I was going to cancel after my last order but oh no you had to keep me as a customer and try a new formulation. Well not this time. I am done with eSalon. I think I may be allergic or this dye is way too strong for my scalp and hairI do not plan to use this product again. I did notify esalon before my last purchase that I noticed a scalp problem and a really drying damage to my hair. The next order seem not to dry my hair that much but my scalp developed bumps and an itchness which indicates a severe irritant. The color does last a long time but I cant stand what it does to my scalp or hair and these are not just effects that last a few day but several months. I spoke with my doctor who says that it must be very strong to do that as compared to other brands who have not irritated my scalp. So with this I will not be ordering again. DON'T DO IT!!!!!My 'Golden Brown' became a dark muddy disaster. I followed the directions faithfully, but now I've had to cut off four (4!) inches and am waiting for some recovery before I can have this nightmare taken care. I'm ashamed to be seen in public!
