WORKED FINEI WAITED TO APPY TO MY HAIR SO MY PREVIOUS HAIR COLOR WORE OFF AND MORE GREY BECAME PRESENT. I WAS HAPPY WITH THE KIT AND INSTRUCTIONS. THE COLOR WAS GREAT AND AT THAT TIME ALL MY GREY HAD BEEN COVERED. THE PREVIOUS HAIR COLOR WOULD LEAVE A GOOD AMOUNT OF GREYS SHOWING AROUND THE FACE HAIR LINE. THIS ONE NOTHING WAS LEFT UNCOLORED. NOW I AM ALMOST THREE WEEKS SINCE COLORING AND FROM MY EARS AROUND FACE HAIR LINE THE GREYS ARE SHOWING. SO FOR THE MOST PART I AM HAPPY WITH THIS HAIR COLOR. I asked for a plum and got even more redI asked for my hair color to be adjusted to a more purple/plum hue instead of a red/burgandy. My first hair color was perfect to my natural color. I couldn't have been happier, if that was what I was looking for! When I received my color the 2nd time and saw the changes from the original, there was more red (by the percentages) I even called esalon to inquire about what the color numbers meant and the percentages. I explained that I wanted a more purple tone than red. The person I spoke with reassured me that red and blue make purple and it would come out like a plum/eggplant color instead of red (altho the color diagram did not reflect that). Hair coloringI have red hair (by choice) and the coloring doesn't last and tends to wash out with every shampoo. eSalon is completely different! It doesn't face or turn brassy. Definitely a difference and huge improvement over drugstore color.I have yet to show any gray...this is 3 wks after e salon color and drugstore color would have already shown some breakthrough gray. I wish e salon would develop color and Highlight kits. I won't be doing this againI was very specific with what color I wanted and the problems that I had with salon colors in the past (my hair takes color fast and deep and the copper color I wanted turns out burgundy when I get it professionally colored). The first time I had the same problem, so I reported it and asked for a reformulation. The second shipment, my color is EXACTLY the same as the first one. I can see no change at all and I am not happy with the color at all. I don't color all that often to keep my hair healthy, so I will be spending 4 month with a color I hate.
