Problem with skin protection along hair lineLove my color;but, the cream you apply to keep from skin getting color on your forehead gave me a significant burned are. I don't know what is in it but, it was very painful and has been very sore since I used my color. What is in this that could cause this. I had to cover it up with concealer so I could hide it for a wedding I was attending. First unhappy part of this colouring experience. Not perfected yet, but......I liked the color I ended up with on about 3/4 of my head, but my roots did not turn dark enough, and strangely, about 1/4 to 1/2 of my hair within one section turned out about a shade lighter than the rest. I explained to the colorist that I have been coloring my own hair since I was 14 (I am now 52) so it is not a case of my taking too long to apply it to the other side; I am fast and thorough. So.....where it stands now is that after a few calls and emails, they are sending out a bottle of darker color just for my roots. Hopefully that will fix the roots, which is the main issue with the color. Guess that other lighter part of my hair will just be lighter than the rest, and maybe other people won't notice. But my roommate did. The bottom line is that if my whole head turned out the shade that the majority of it did, it would look pretty good, and I think that the color seems to be staying put better than my other brand. I can also tell that it did not do as much damage to my hair as did the type of color I have been using for awhile. I love the policy that if there is a problem , the company will issue a refund or replace a product, but I have to say that when I replied to an email from a specific employee, she never bothered to reply and I had to email and call to get help from a different employee. I think that once you have the right color, and no need to contact them, all should go well, and I think the quality of the color formula is good. If I have no more problems, I will continue to order based on the quality of the hair color. Not desired colorWhoever processed my request seems like they didn't understand the color I wanted. My hair got way darker and redder when I wanted it to be somewhat the same color(light brown with caramel tones). I was very excited, now I am very disappointed :-( I just woke up and saw my hair in daylight... Ugh I hate it. I reduced the rating from 2 stars to 1. I wish there was no stars. I hate it!!! I had beautiful caramel colored light brown hair and all I wanted was a Match. They couldn't even tell from the picture I sent them apparently. I hate it so much!!!! Day 3 update. Omg I hate it even more. It's the middle of the summer and j lost all the beautiful gold from my hair. It's dark brown. What part of light golden brown didn't the color "specialist" get is beyond me. How? Really how? Now I'm going to wait for 6 weeks before I get my hair fixed which is the end of the summer. You ruined my summer fun hair. It Damaged My HairI would not recommend this product. It damaged my hair. It's been three months since I've used this product and my hair is still dry and brittle and my hair has still not recovered to the condition it was before I used this product. Not pleased with result of color or condition of hair.After using the product my hair was dull and dry with no highlights. I received a better result with an over the counter product which I normally use. The color was not bright, turned out very dull and dingy.
