After Second formula I LOVE IT!!My first custom color on my virgin hair, barely took! 😢 So I sent a message and a photo and my colorist was able to match it spot on! They also sent me a complimentary glaze for my ends, but since the color didn't take on the first round, I wanted to ensure the vibrancy throughout and just used my hair color ONLY! So far, excellent coverage but a little dryingThe coverage is excellent for me, even my stubborn greys. At the salon the coverage sometimes isn't even as good as this is. Not happyI was so excited when I signed up with esalon as I color my hair regularly. I ordered this over a month ago and just recently used it. The root color didn't match the end color making it very noticeable. Rinsing the color out took a lot of time. So so expected effectivenessI have a problem with hair coloring wearing off my gray after coloring and mentioned this to the consultant when I made my first order; hoping that since this product was supposed to be made for me, it could be designed to overcome this. It didn't. So I am sticking with the store bought brands that are much cheaper and have the same results. Not for meI was excited to try the color despite the negative reviews. I followed the instructions and applied the color to my hair. The scent was so strong that it burned my eyes. The product didn't get into my eyes but the odor was too strong. Once the color was completely covering my hair, I was ready to leave it on for the full 30 minutes until I noticed it was turning purple. I hadn't had the color on for 10 minutes and got scared that my hair would come out purple. The color I was going for was a dark brown with a hint of red and my hair is a dark brown to begin with. After I shampooed my hair no less than ten times, it was a decent color. I will not be purchasing this hair color, at this time, as it is more expensive than the color I normally purchase at a local hair salon store. Another reason why I will not be purchasing the color again is the fact of not knowing the color to get for the desired brown/red I'm looking for and the strong odor was too much to handle. It's been a couple of weeks now and I can already see the few gray hairs I have are popping out again.
