Color was just okI ordered light brown with ash/neutralizer as my hair had multiple layers of regrowth, old salon color, and old ombré. The color is much darker then I expected and I still have red undertones in my regrowth which clash with the old salon color. I wish I just bought a box at the drugstore.Admittedly, I was a hard case to start with. Lots of roots, lots of gray, lots of highlights that ranged from golden blonde to very baby blonde. My eSalon kit included a colorfill and is demi-permanent. I was hoping for a very dark ash blonde, close to my natural color. What I ended up with is dark, warm brown ends with golden brown midlengths and lots of gray showing through. It's completely incoherent as a color. The condition looks better than the heavily highlighted blonde I had before, but the color is...blech. It's very flat, no dimension, and looks more like the old highlights were just stained dark instead of a true color change. I'm hoping I can wash it a lot and it will fade quickly to something I can just color over with a dark blonde permanent box dye. Great colorFor the first time in 5 years, I was somewhat disappointed in my results. My color choice hasn't changed, but it seems like the color, once mixed was significantly thicker than it has been previously. I kept the color on the length of time I normally do but it did not seem to cover as well this time. DisappointmentI was disappointed that no brush was included. I was so excited to finally have my hair done only to find out at that point that no pressure is included in a repeat order. I emailed, no response. I called up and was told I’d have to pay an extra $1.29 for a brush.But I wanted to return the product I was told because I open the box there would be a $15 charge. Color not right and made hair feel like strawI wanted to love esalon but it is just not working for me. I am very experienced with coloring my hair at home. I asked for light cool ash brown. The first color was very warm and also gave me hot roots. I also felt like my hair was very dry and dull looking after the color and it seemed to fade off my grey after 2 weeks (which was only FIVE washes - and this was permanent color!) Went to cancel and they offered to redo it for free so I tried again asking for even more ash to cancel the brass. This came out a bit less warm but was still nowhere near "ash". Same dry feeling and dull looking hair, and same ridiculously fast fading. Super bummed after reading so many positive reviews and cancelling for good this time. First useThe color didn’t cover my grey hair at all. I don’t have a ton but the product still didn’t cover it. My hair get like straw even after using the shampoo/conditioner.
