Excellent coverage.I have to admit, I was nervous as could be, thought it would be too black and it wasn't. A picture of the color Chocolate is on my account. Go look. I followed the instructions to the letter, and it covered the entire hair and my hair was shoulder length. I was able to saturate the entire hair strands on my head and I used a qtip to do my eyebrows. FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS, they work if you ask me. I'm 57 and graying a good deal. Much better than store boughtI tried Esalon hoping it would be a better product than the store bought boxes I had previously been using. I AM GLAD I GAMBLED BECAUSE IT IS SO MUCH BETTER!!. My hair has a shine and color that it never got with the other coloring. I love the leave in conditioner and the love tint I purchased also. So disappointedI really looked forward to using this. I lost my job and have been cutting out all "luxuries" for myself but wanted to do something to look better and feel better. I sent photos, I explained the condition of my hair and what I wanted. I had gray roots that I wanted covered and I wanted my hair color to be shiny and natural looking. I used it today and could not be more upset. After coloring and using the shampoo and conditioner I couldn't even run my fingers through my wet hair because my hair was so gummy. I rinsed again and again and again, no extra color was coming out. I blowdryed my hair. Just awful. Gummy, matte, ugly. I used my own shampoo and conditioner and finally got my hair back to how it's supposed to feel - soft, swingy, normal. So I spent almost FOUR HOURS on my hair, had to shampoo/condition/dry TWICE, and what do I have now? Roots that are at least 3 shades lighter than my hair and the rest of my hair is a matte dark brown. So I have to go buy a root touch-up - using money I certainly don't have - just to achieve what I bought all of this to achieve: colored roots, colored hair, with shine and attractiveness. AND I got another bottle in the mail and was charged for it because I guess I didn't cancel quickly enough. I am deeply disappointed - I just wanted to do one nice thing for myself so I would at least feel better about myself as I struggle thru a very hard time. Finally a natural color!E-Salon is one of the best hair decisions that I have made! The color is natural and flattering. It colors my gray very well. And possibly the best feature is that it is gentle and does not damage my hair as the over-the-counter permanent coloring products did. Salon coloring was usually great if I could get in with the same colorist. But the price was about five times as much every six weeks and the result with a different colorist could sometimes make me want to wear a hat for six weeks! I couldn't be happier with the product!
