Intense purpleI love how the dye left my hair all soft but, I could barely see any purple tone on my hair. My hair was already a dark brown and a bit sun bleach, and it just dyed my hair a darker brown. Perfect hair colourThe dye did exactly what I asked the colourist for. The original colour I picked was too dark so the colourist advised me to go for a shade lighter at first. Scared, but all is wellI was scared to try a new all over hair color, but everything turned out well. The color is a bit closer to my own, which I appreciate, because now I have almost no root growth showing :) I started out, years ago, with dishwater blonde hair and highlights. As time went on, my hair got lighter and lighter because of continued highlights, until finally, I just gave up and used a box. Several times during the next 30 years, between the ages of 15 & 44, I tried going closer to my natural color, but the salons just couldn't get an ash tone right. I gave esalon a few pictures and they have have done a better job than either box or salon. The first couple of days were not exactly what I was hoping for, but within a week, the darker color lightened up and now, with my grey/white/blonde hair, I hardly have any roots and the color is pretty.
