Intense purpleI love how the dye left my hair all soft but, I could barely see any purple tone on my hair. My hair was already a dark brown and a bit sun bleach, and it just dyed my hair a darker brown. Perfect hair colourThe dye did exactly what I asked the colourist for. The original colour I picked was too dark so the colourist advised me to go for a shade lighter at first. Scared, but all is wellI was scared to try a new all over hair color, but everything turned out well. The color is a bit closer to my own, which I appreciate, because now I have almost no root growth showing :) I started out, years ago, with dishwater blonde hair and highlights. As time went on, my hair got lighter and lighter because of continued highlights, until finally, I just gave up and used a box. Several times during the next 30 years, between the ages of 15 & 44, I tried going closer to my natural color, but the salons just couldn't get an ash tone right. I gave esalon a few pictures and they have have done a better job than either box or salon. The first couple of days were not exactly what I was hoping for, but within a week, the darker color lightened up and now, with my grey/white/blonde hair, I hardly have any roots and the color is pretty. Finally, the right color!As a strawberry blonde who is going gray, it is difficult to dye my hair back without it being too artificial looking. Many stylists have tried, and failed to get the right color result. Somehow, eSalon did it!
