Great color, problems with resistant grayI left it in the length of time recommended. Color seems to fade from gray or white hair faster. Maybe I should've done all over color since the formula was changed to solve the resistant gray coverage. my dark roots didn't need black coloring...My dark roots didn't need black coloring. I am trying to darken my damaged colored hair by a hair dresser this summer, when she lightened it (I wanted to go a medium to dark reddish, SHE wanted to try something fun. I've never been a blonde nor will I ever want to be one!). She's Not my hairdresser anymore and she did try to correct it three times. Every time I color it, it comes out shoe polish for the first two weeks, finally looks better for a week, then begins to fade again to a reddish pink (bc of the bleached out damaged hair). I'm pulling my hair out-literally from the stress of the last three months and ready to shave it (took 2 1/2 years to grow it this long) and start from scratch!! I've tried three batches of eSalon. Has hints of red and fades to redThis "custom" color is like all of the other medium brown hair colors I have tried. It has undertones of red (which I'm trying to avoid) and fades to red in the sun or after a few weeks. It is the most drying hair color I have ever used.
