Black, brown, not redI'm so sorry. I want this to work. I love this idea, and was so excited when i received this beautiful package. However, once done, ( following any normal instructions for home dye), my hair looks the same. I don't think the dye took. I'd be better off getting a high street dye. This is a treat for me. HATE ITHate is a strong word, yet I find myself mortified at my hair color. Prior to coloring, I sent pictures, asked questions and received no response. The color is absolutely wrong...no where near what I requested or was shown Angry. Disappointed. Packaging spot on but everything else has been utterly awfulI had read that there was a personal discussion with a colourist before you decided on the best colour for your wants/need. I left a photo and a little note, expecting a discussion before choosing but instead received an email saying that my colour has already been dispatched - colours I hadn't chosen at all.... Despite these initial issues I decided to go ahead with colouring. The packaging was amazing, really thorough and well designed and even little things like a sticker to attach the instructions on the wall - genius! Unfortunately though, my hair has ended up exactly the same colour it was before I dyed it. They had sent me a "darkest brown" plumy colour for my roots fading into a bright violet colour. Even though the dye itself looked a a nice bright colour my hair is still brown - even with it’s mouse brown tinge still - definitely not “darkest brown” and certainly no red or purple. It also feels brittle (I lost quite a lot in the shower!) and straw-like. Almost thereThe color was measured well and easy to mix and apply. It was a bit too light as it came with a 20 volume developer so it caused me to have “hot” roots. The color blend also had ash tones which caused my hair to pull smoky greenish hues. I sent a message to adjust the color. Not SatisfiedThe kit was very well set up I like the tools and all the details how ever the root color did not work and my roots are still brown instead of black like the color they are supposed to be dyed.
