Pretty ColorPreviously I had been coloring my hair without stripping off the previous color. I have not used this new color yet as I need to get the previous color out. I am excited to try this new product and tools. If I am interested in buying again I will re-order. I wanted to absolutely love it.....butI was so excited after I read all the reviews here to get this but it didn't do what I was expecting it to. Here is the realistic feedback. The great and the not so great. SO... Customer Service was outstanding through my process. I called about my color, I got an email follow up... GREAT NEW, these folks seem to care a lot about their customers. I discussed my concerns for my super long thick hair and they really took great care of me! For the hair color...Eh. My hair was colored last year at the salon using Aveda color. It was close to my real color buy my grays were starting to show and I wanted a bit of change in color from auburn to golden mahogany. My hair was in good/great shape. It's SUPER long and thick and I am obsessed about keeping it healthy. I got this shipment very quickly which I was please about. However when I used the product the ammonia about knocked me out. It was so overwhelming, I had to open windows and vent. I guess because I had to use 3 bottles to put on my long hair. I am not sure. LOVE the instructions, they were clear and concise. I followed them to a T. The color is ok but the absolute worst ,and why I gave this 2 stars is what it did to my thick shiny healthy hair. It totally dried my hair out like I have never experienced before. Previously after any color my hair is shiny and glossy and the color looks fresh, especially right afterwards. This did not look anything like that. I almost cried when I saw the damage it did to my hair and how lifeless it looks.. My hair feels like straw now. Super damaged and not shiny at all. Color selection was ok, what is NOT OK is how dull my hair looks. Its no longer soft and shiny its dull and lifeless. Husband loves the color,its ok, but what it did to my hair is NOT EVER going to be worth it. I don't understand where the shine is and I will now have to go spend 100 at the salon for them to fix this dull mess. Very saddened and heartbroken! Love my newest shadeI was growing out previous hair color and had tried a do it yourself box of L'Oréal dark blonde...yeah I knew better as esalon has never let me down in the past. So I placed an order and my colorist Leianna called me personally to get more details about what I had last used on my hair etc. when I received my color this time there were two separate colors for my roots and the rest of my hair ...I'm not a hair stylist I was a little worried I couldn't do this myself, but I just carefully went through the steps and tried to remember that I was in good hands with my own color expert. It came out better than I'd expected, zero damage to the hair I've been judiciously trying to grow out the last three months. Works great- wrong colorThis product was easy to use and worked well. The directions were easy to follow and my hair was left in good condition at the end. I am somewhat disappointed in how dark my roots are. I don't know if I just chose the wrong color to begin with, but I don't think I will use the root color again.
