Born a redhead, still red AND "natural looking" at age 54!MY COLOR IS PERFECT!!!!! This is a review of my NEW eSalon color! I have been using eSalon since 2013 ....and wouldn't dream of spending hours and $$$ to a high-end, brick and mortar salon. I am THRILLED that the colorist (Courtney) took my written requests; and previous hair color photos... into serious consideration. She called me as well, we spoke for approx 10 minutes or more. She listened, gave me specific directions... then re-formulated my color and added the complimentary gloss color. I will be adding that to my order from now on! I ABSOLUTELY could not have gotten a BETTER COLOR AT ANY HIGH-END SALON! I am VERY PLEASED and HIGHLY recommend eSalon. Being a natural redhead it has been very difficult to duplicate my color as I age... and my hair goes more and more WHITE gray, plus the texture changes, etc. While at the same time I needed to start to change the original red a bit, but I still wanted to be an Age-Appropriate redhead! (I guess only redheads would understand this issue) My ONLY frustration, and I think this is due to my age ...and coarseness of my hair -plus a few hours in the sun here and there. I colored it just 3 weeks ago- and the hairline is starting to lighten a lot. However, it is lightening naturally, NOT with a color line stripe, which is great! I do have the purple (color enhancing treatment) that I put in my hair for 2-3 minutes while in the shower. I recommend this as well. The bottle lasts a long long time and does not need to be purchased with each order. Side Note My hair products of choice beyond that are LIVING PROOF which I get on sephora- the best hair products I have ever used - both when I wear it curly (natural) or straight! better than expectedI was nervous about dying my hair myself, but everything I needed was sent, and I found the instructions easy to follow. The consistency of the product was thick enough that it didn't drip or run and the process was quick and straightforward. The only comment I would make is that the conditioner left my hair very greasy and heavy so that after 24 hours I just had to wash my hair again.
