Hasn't kept the colour very longI am rather disappointed with my first pur,chase as the colour has all washed out lasting about 3 weeks which I don't consider good value for money, so I would therefore not ask you to send me anymore. DevastatedThe color was TOO dark. That's for starters. I left it on for less than 1/2 the time it stated to. I had intentionally allowed my hair to grow out anticipating doing this with your company after seeing the advertisements! My hair had roots appropriately 1" and 3/4 inches long. I had been letting my hair grow out from a short bob cut and it was past my shoulders at the point I colored it with your product. Not only was it so dark it turned a blackish color with plum tones but when I washed it I had so much hair fall out in the shower I panicked! It was like a chemo patient! I thought PERHAPS it was only because I had done something wrong myself.. I have done OTC products before however and NEVER had such a reaction. I thought if I waited and allowed myself to miss one shipment and didn't use any products in my hair, no heat to dry it, or style it, didn't get in a pool with chemicals.. that it would lighten and wouldn't do anymore damage. However hair continued to fall out at an alarming rate AND began to break off at the ends until it was ABOVE MY SHOULDERS and barely elbow my ears!! I finally had to suck it up and go into a salon where I was told YOUR product had damaged my hair beyond repair! I had to have my hair cut so short its now approximately three inches short all over! SHORTER than it was when I started growing it all out! And I've had to pay an exhorbant amount on keratin treatments to try and strengthen it. You can even see my scalp in places from loosing hair! Great color just not enough productGreat color just not enough product for even just the roots if you have really thick hair so doing to top and bottom roots and not so much middle. Mousy brown, instead of the strawberry blonde I wantedI have previously kept my hair a lovely shade of dark strawberry blonde/light auburn, using store bought color. I had to use a combo of dark blonde and bright auburn to do it, so I thought a custom formulation would be great, and more predictable. I sent multiple pictures of the color I had/ wanted to maintain, both in freshly dyed, and in 12 week 'faded' states, so my colorist could see exactly what I was looking for.... While the coloring product I received may be good quality, it costs quite a bit more than the store bought I was using, didn't seem to leave my hair in any better condition, despite the extra shampoo and conditioner it was recommended that I buy, and the color achieved is a disaster. I used the hair color in 2 steps, per the directions. Instead of the beautiful dark strawberry blonde/light auburn I had previously, my custom colors(s) came out a shiny , mousy dishwater brown. I actually wonder if I was sent the wrong color formulation, and asked customer service this question, as well as how to fix it. I'll update, if I get an answer, and am able to add an update. I have fine, easily damaged hair, and normally only re-color every 10 weeks or so, and this was going to be it. I'm pretty disappointed, and more than a little nauseated over this. I sent before and after pictures of the color I had/ wanted, and the color I have now, after using the product from this company, to customer service, and tried to attach them here, but can't find a way. LOVE IT!!!This is by far the best hair color I have ever used, even better than any Salon color I've ever had. So easy to use, the scent of each product smells so good, and the shampoo and conditioner smells even better. Now, the final step, conditioning, OMG! My hair has never felt so soft, smelled so good, and the shine, my goodness, the shine! My main reason for coloring was to cover gray roots. 100% coverage. I've never had that with any store bought color, I'm serious, not one single gray was missed. I'm recommending this product to everyone, all they have to do is see my hair for themselves. I also rinsed out all the bottles and put everything back in the box it came in cause I thought it was so cute how my name was personalized on everything. I'm done with any other hair coloring products, this is my brand for life. Thank you for developing a fantastic product. FABULOUS RESULTS!!!!I absolutely loved my 1st time experience! The 1st thing I noticed was the very low odor. Every home hair color I have ever used was potent and the day of coloring the icky odor lingered. My hair is also pretty healthy but whenever I would color I always experienced the drying effects of coloring. But after using eSalon's color my after coloring results were awesome, no drying or after effects. My hair was shiny! I was very pleased with my custom blend. I color to cover those pesky grays and try to stay close to my natural brunette hair color. With other home coloring my results were always darker than the shade on the box. And despite going for a cool shade to avoid red or brassy tones I would still end up with them. With eSalon I sent my personal colorist a message that I wanted to cover those grays and avoid red or brassy tones. I could not have been more pleased....no red or brassiness and the even coloring results were fantastic! I would highly recommend this to anyone who colors their hair at home.
