Easy to follow instructions, not the result I wantedI was so excited to try this new service, as I have been coloring my hair both at home and at the salon for years. Before dying this time, most red had faded from my hair and I was a light brown. I requested a blonde, red, copper tone - think a believeable Merida (The movie Brave) ginger color, which I have had before both from a salon and from boxed color. I was emailed before shipment saying "We see you've requested to go lighter and wanted to let you know that previously colored hair cannot be lightened since color does not lift color. However, we can adjust the color slightly lighter at your roots without developing hot roots and aim to maintain an even-toned, natural-looking result. So, we've gone ahead and made this change." Which sounded good, so I was okay with it. I followed the instructions to the letter, even as the bottles turned a darker and darker shade - but reddish tones are not always what they seem, so I pressed on. Even rinsing the color early as it started turning more red/purple color than I wanted. Now, I am currently sitting on my couch - with Bright red hair (think Mermaid Ariel). Not only that, but my roots are no where near the same color as my lengths... I'm not pleased, but hoping it will fade and hopefully the expensive color enhancing mask I also ordered in copper will help in time. EDIT: Was sent a new formula after waiting for color to fade (6 weeks). I was thinking that maybe yet again it was something I did, so in case my hair took the color too quickly (in the past at salons it has done) so I did not leave it on for the full time... Yet. Again. The color was so far off from what I requested. Again I asked for a gingery copper color... and I am again left without anywhere near the result. Great texture, color is not quite rightI love how my hair feels but the color is still brassy. And I was disappointed in the communication. I get responses from so many different people and I feel like I have to keep re-requesting change. For instance when I went to re order the changes that were promised in my last email are not on my order form. Unsatisfactory ResultsI was not satisfied with the product. There were no better results than what I received from retail stores or beauty supply stores. One major difference from my usual product is that this product left my hair hard and dull, not soft and shining. It was also messy because it continually dripped while being applied and during timings.
