Good color that lastsI have been using eSalon for about a year now. It's convenient to have shipped to home, ready to use on MY schedule. No more waiting weeks for a color appointment. Stray GrayThe color was pretty but I did struggle covering up all the gray. I know it's me - just easier to have someone who knows what they're doing do it for you. Color over 50Sooo much better than store bought and much more affordable than the salon. My hair is glossy and healthy looking. My only concern is my color was a bit too dark this time but that may have been applicator error. Novice, got exactly what she wanted!This was my first time ever dyeing my hair from home. I'd recently moved and had gone to a stylist to get my hair done, but a few weeks later all the color was gone and I just couldn't afford to have someone do my hair again. I decided to try eSalon after my mom gave me a great recommendation. I was a little nervous to go forward and do my own hair. It was a bit messy, and took longer than they said it would on the instructions, but I have hair down to my lower back so I wasn't surprised. Quite a bit of time later I came out and blow dried my hair and it was everything I'd wanted. As a dark brunette, I often just want red highlights or to enhance the slight auburn tint in my hair. I'd decided I wanted to go full auburn recently, and eSalon hit the nail on the head. The previous stylist had bleached highlights into my hair, which I didn't know she was going to do, so once all the color left them I really needed something to cover the startling blonde that was in my hair. After the eSalon color, my dark brown was there, but shaded to the perfect auburn keeping it close to my normal hair color so it wasn't a drastic change, but giving me exactly what I'd wanted, and it covered the bleached strands so they fit in with the rest of my hair. I also had plenty of dimension, which had been something else I worried about. I can't wait to use it again. Lots of compliments!!!I have used this color product three times now. I did send a photo of my current hair and another of my hair color years ago, in hopes to get as close as could be to my used-to-be-younger natural color. The first color was what I asked for... but I found it to be more red than I liked. I am much older now and found that my youthful hair was not fitting for me anymore! Ha Ha I explained this to the colorist and asked it to be a little darker and less red. The second color came and it was just right!! I have my daughter apply it. Everything comes in the kit. I feel the color stays well! I am usually peppered with gray. My hair is an A-line bob to my chin. There is more than enough product to color my hair. In fact if there was one thing I could change it would be to pay less and receive half the product. That would be enough to cover my hair. Love the color, but it didn't last longLove the lighter color, I still could go lighter because after being at the beach my hair hair actually got lighter. Color did not last very long this time. Color wasnt what i was shown. Still worth a try.I used the Demi permanent dark ash blonde on my light blonde hair in hopes of going back to my natural color. The packaging was fantastic and the coloring product and shampoo and conditioner packs left my hair very soft and conditioned so that was definitely nice. The application was easy, the instructions helped alot. But here is where my problem starts. When the hair color was processing it was near black, having dyed my hair many times i knew this is normal and didnt freak out. Also it didnt smell bad, I followed my directions, rinsed out my hair and my hair didnt even dye that much. My hair is a medium / light blonde still, only slightly different than what i had before, it doesnt look even near the photo that the dark ash blonde shows. The product is nice, I just wonder if i got the wrong color? If i could get the right color this is a product i would like to use again, Im just disappointed that it didnt turn out. Edit : The customer service for esalon is FANTASTIC! They made sure that I was satisfied and fixed my issue and I really appreciate the effort they put into it. completely wrong colorI requested color to lighten my natural hair by one shade. I sent pictures and I picked the color closest to my natural hair and the color I wanted to change it to. The "professional" stylist decided my hair was actually darker than what I had chosen so she insisted I go with a different color to achieve the "one shade lighter" that I requested. Of course, it came out at least one shade darker than my natural color. When I asked for solutions, I was told I could buy only one shade lighter (my natural color again), but I couldn't buy highlights without buying another full kit. It seems to me that if they wanted to keep me as a customer they would have offered to ship the new color with highlights if that would fulfill my initial request.
