Gorgeous color. Exactly what I was looking for!I love this color. I did send in photos. Top half of my hair was gray and the rest almost to my butt was darker. FULL DISCLOSUREI want it to be clear to whoever is reading this review, this is NOT an issue of faulty product or bad customer service. eSalon, as a whole, has been wonderful... I bought the custom hair color (Dark Blonde -7.0), The professional 4-piece color tool kit, and Tinted Love in Blonde Neutralizer. All quality products; I usually get scalp irritation/ reaction but their formula didn't irritate my sensitive skin or have a strong odor. Everything is very well thought out and generous in comparison to other at home options. Tinted love has helped neutralize the bold "brass" I've been rockin, too. I wanted to love my color but even after taking a few weeks to let it "grow on me" it's just not complimentary to my skin tone so there's no making it work... To be fair; I did NOT upload a photo, add notes or speak with my colorist to provide an in depth history. They ask for a reason so help them, help you.... This thought added to my hesitance when debating on whether to let eSalon know I wasn't happy or not. It feels wrong to complain that it didn't turn out right, but I have to get this fixed. I'm confident they can help. Now... this is what I feel I should of disclosed to my colorist, but at the time, didn't think it would matter: 3 months prior to ordering I had ombre (top half= level 5.0 medium brown, lower half = between level 8.0 and 9.0 light/med blonde warm undertones) I used a level 5.0 boxed dye for all one color. I stupidly colored my whole head instead of JUST the blonde. It turned out orange (between level 6.43-7.4) after the custom color; an improvement from what it was, but not what I expected (7.0 - Dark blonde). The end result, depending on whether I used toner, is between level 6.45- 5.43. eSalon: Does that history make a difference? Can you suggest alt color options for me? WOW!Years ago I did at home boxed color on my hair which was OK. Since I wanted something different I started going to an Aveda salon and stuck with it for years. It is so gentle on hair. However it was quite costly and not kind on my budget. After reading online reviews and seeing what I was spending at Aveda, eSalon "custom color" was something I was willing to try. My first order came and I did a strand test. Thank heavens I did! Not for me. Too vibrant. I called eSalon and told them exactly what was wrong. The person was extremely helpful, patient and knowledgeable. To my delight there was no charge for the color adjustment and it arrived within days. I did another strand test and knew we hit a home run when I asked a friend of mine to pick out my strand test hair. She could not. I followed my gut and did the touch up on my roots as directed and then I mixed only half of the bottle of the glossy second bottle for the ends. I proceeded to pull that color in to my existing hair as highlights since my desire is to get more red back into my hair but not all at once. I did not want everybody to know that I was changing my hair back to the reddish color that I love. It turned out gorgeous. I am slowly going to continue to add more red in my existing color during additional applications. I am so pleased I cancelled all my standing appointments at my Aveda Salon and eSalon is now my salon! I cannot say enough about the service and the knowledgeable staff of this company. my experienceOverall I am satisfied with everything i got in my first order. I however did it wrong and got confused with the instructions. I read on the website to do a test strand so what i did is i mixed the whole develoeper with the hair color what i didnt realize was that you only mix a teaspoon after going back and googling i realized once mixed it stops working after an hour so i had to do my whole head in a hurry!!! The instructions didnt clearly point this out and it was my first time dying ny hair at home. Also I only wanted to dye my ends because i have an ombre not my roots and for my ends it said to apply color for 5 to 10 minutes. I disagreed and Pplied it for almost 30 minutes. That part was also co fusing my hair cMe close to my natural hair but darker it looks black vut i got demi permanent so i know it will lighten it up. If i wouldve left it on for 5 to 10 minutes it wouldnt have taken the color all the way. The instructions were confusing for me being the first time and no where in the i structions did it mention a strand test only online. Because i rushed to dye my hair i also stained my skin everywhere. The pros about this product us that it doesnt smell at all like hair color or Mmonia and they give you enough product the first time. I also liked that they gave me a 10 developer instead of a stronger one my hair only needed 10. I like that they included 2 pairs of gloves. They couldve included more shampoo and conditioner as i used the whole packs already and only for 1 application. Overall i am satisfied just that the instructions were confusing and my hair color almost looks black instead of dark brown :/ i would like for them to have a chat option available with the colorist because once my order was placed to make changes i had to call in id rather chat or email colorist because i was confused by directions 0 de 0 personas encontraron este comentario útil. ¿Y tú? |

Perfect color!!!I have been trying to get this color for 3yrs. Gone to many different Salons and played over 200$ at each appointment and never came out with what I wanted. UNTIL NOW!! 17.00$ and got exactly what I wanted!! Beyond happy with the color!! Only issue is wasn't enough dye for my hair but in all fairness my hair is ridiculously long (pass my butt) and thick. But still extremely happy!! Customer for life right here!!! Edit. My first dye was perfect.. unfortunately the second shipment was more of a red color. I decided to continue with the "autoship" hoping the next one would be better.
