Custom Hair ColorI love this! The color I thought was me was way too dark. The new adjusted color that gave a little red highlights was just perfect. My husband reacted and said "Did you color your hair? I see red highlights but no gray" I loved it!! Please let's keep this hair color for next delivery! True to it's claims well deserved 5*I am still exploring, but loving the process of finding my perfect color. I have spent an embarrassing amount of money on hair color treatments from NYC (salons professing to be the most elite) to some very prestigious salons on the west coast. Usually with disappointing results in either the color or equally as important the texture. I took the path of least resistant and started using store bought products to use at home. Every brand, color you name it I tried it. Grateful I fell upon an ad for eSalon and haven't looked back since. #1 objective to color the gray has been accomplished, it lasts much longer (at least 10 days longer than any other product or treatment I have had in the past) and I love the texture of my hair..it doesn't feel treated. Great Color, Great Grey Coverage, and EXCELLENT customer service!TIPS: TAKE PICTURES! Of both the hair you have and the hair you want It may take more than one formulation to get the color you want- patience is key Admittedly, the first time I used esalon, I sent in a bad picture of myself with lighting that was far too dark. I also only used a couple of sentences to describe what I wanted. I felt initially that I said enough, but that was apparently not the case. I used them one more time and was not impressed. NOW- customer service contacted me and we did a third formulation. I sent pictures of my hair- which was now at least 3 colors from me trying to use box colors and my grey roots. I wrote a very long paragraph about what I like, needed, and didn't want. This third formulation is AWESOME! My hair looks fantastic, with dimension, shine, and an EVEN color all over that I though was impossible considering what my hair looked like before. Color is greatMy color turned out great. But I won't be ordering again because the price the price is just to damn high. Personal Stylist did not listen wellI originally worked with a stylist, and the first round of coloring was way too dark. There were two different colors, one for the roots and one for the ends, and they were different colors and did not blend at all. So I asked for more auburn red in the mix, so the color would be lighter, and the same color for both ends and roots. Instead, they sent me two different colors again, and the root color was still way too dark and I can't wait for it to wash out. The dark color is too stark against my skin tone, and I hate it. I feel that the stylist just did what they wanted and didn't really listen to me. Actually, if I had a box of the color I purchase over the counter, I would have used that instead, but since I already had this color from Esalon, I thought I would give it one more change. ickI followed all instructions and dyed my hair on Wednesday morning. It is now Thursday afternoon and after washing my hair 5 times already, my entire head is coated in what appears to be some sort of greasy film that will not wash out. I am beyond frustrated and pissed off. I have literally scrubbed my head 5x. I guess I'll keep scrubbing and hope for the best.
