Customer for Life!I am a natural redhead whose hair is starting to fade a bit and lose its vibrancy so I’ve been paying around $350 every 6 weeks to have my hair dyed back to my natural color. We recently started a family business so obviously I couldn’t do that anymore. I tried eSalon after buying but not using 4 different boxes of hair dye none of which looked remotely like my correct color. With eSalon being as affordable as it is I thought it couldn’t hurt to just look at the product. Well I ended up dyeing my hair for the first time at age 42 with the eSalon set, I was FLOORED!! It looks closer to my natural color than my stylist ever managed. One more major important point. I had indicated initially I wanted to go two shades darker than my then faded natural hair. My colorist from eSalon Porshawna emailed me and asked if I was sure I really wanted to do that as they don’t normally recommend it. Thank God she caught that, if I’d gone two shades darker I wouldn’t have been recognizable the one she formulated was perfect. Thank you Porshawna! First impressionsI am waiting for the timer to beep to rinse out my first attempt at coloring with eSalon. I figured I’d give my first impressions while I wait. The instructions were easy to follow. Having the bowl and brush made it so much apply than using the store brought brands. One of the gloves I got had a hole in it but not a big deal. My biggest complaint is I didn’t have enough product. I ran out 80% of the way through (this is going to look ... interesting). I tried squeezing every drop out of the bottle and any extra from other areas of my head to spread it around. I have long hair, so getting the same size bottle for roots and ends doesn’t make a lot of sense. Oh, there goes the timer. Wish me luck! It’s done. Here are my final impressions. The color seems even throughout even with a shortage of product. It’s a nice, rich tone and I like the color. My hair does seem a little dry, which I haven’t noticed with other products. Root coverageUnfortunately this colour does not cover my roots adequately. They appear too light against the rest of the hair. I followed instructions to the letter when I coloured my hair last week (20th January) and now it looks like I should be colouring the roots again. Great long lasting colorThe color matches my natural color really well. I find it lasts longer than the hair dyes I bought at the store. I like that the kit comes with two sets of gloves. It is also delivered automatically based on a schedule you choose.
