First order and the colour spilled all over the boxI haven't applied the colour yet, but my first order arrived today and I was a little disappointed. The bottle with the Step 2 colour leaked and made a complete mess of the entire box :( So, I actually have to rectify my previous review - a new box arrived promptly (and intact), thank you very much for that! Yesterday I applied the colour for the first time and the result is amazing! The shine is stunning and I am very much looking forward to the hair care products I ordered immediately afterwards. Absolutely perfectI have tried many products over the years to get a rich chestnut color to my mousy, and now very gray, brunette shade. They are either too burgundy or too coppery red. Even salons have not been able to get it just right for a lot of money. So much frustration - until esalon. I received my well packaged product. It was easy to use and the color is fabulous. So convenient!My stylist doesn't work as many days as I do, sooo now I color my own hair at my convenience. Looks Great!My first color I ordered was very dark so asked my color specialist to go lighter. It came out pretty much perfect. Great Colour, Shine and softnessMy hair has not shined like this in a long time. Its soft and feels fuller too. It was very creamy and felt oily but without the greasiness. Excellent!I love the color and the videos made the application process easy. I feel like all of my hair is colored well and evenly. At the end of the process I dumped dye and water over my head, and the dye dripped down my body and splashed on the floor, and I felt like a vampire princess bathing in blood.* It was empowering. My only complaint is that 4 out of 8 of the containers sent to me were difficult to open, at least in a wearing slippery gloves scenario. QUALITY HAIR SALON PRODUCTSince I started working for a natural based hair care company and using their products my hair got so much fuller, healthier and is growing crazy! With that my roots and gray strands are showing faster too - unfortunately! I was looking to find an alternative to costly hair dresser appointments (although I love their work!) and found an article on Facebook, raving about this company that offers custom hair color in salon quality for a fraction of the price. I never colored my hair myself, but the $12 first-time offer was quite compelling to give it a try. So I went forward, ordered my custom color set with the request to get as close to my natural hair color and the wish to cover the gray strands. It took few weeks till my color kit arrived here in rural Manitoba, Canada. It was beautiful put together, the instructions well made and easy to follow. I also watched few how-to-do videos on Esalon's website just to make sure I got everything right. With hubby's help I applied the color, waited 30 min,. showered and blow dried my hair - quite nervously though. But when I looked in the mirror I was blown away! It turned out amazing! The color, maybe a tad darker than expected but still very nice, was perfect! It covered my gray/roots so nicely and I'm more than pleased with the result!
