Roots at home? Scary I know!I go to 'Jose Evers once every 6 months to Shannon! It cost too much to do my roots there every 6 weeks and I'm too busy. The color here is thee exact SAME saving me a lot of $! I couldn't believe how great it covered the grey!! And it gave me the blonde I had as a child!! 'Jose told me "the best color for you in blonde!! Ur a blonde!" He's right too cause I have natural streaks of it all thru my coloring!! This company knows what their doing!! So convenient!My stylist doesn't work as many days as I do, sooo now I color my own hair at my convenience. Looks Great!My first color I ordered was very dark so asked my color specialist to go lighter. It came out pretty much perfect. Great productsI have been an esalon customer for several years and I love the products and the service and have recommended it to many friends. I have been very happy with the results and get frequent compliments. Before I get on to the next part of my review I want to stress that I am very happy with esalon and have no intention of leaving. However, I am disappointed with the redesigned packaging and branding. I am a seasoned art director/graphic designer and in my professional opinion the new design is not an improvement - not aesthetically or functionally. The original branding concept “Love” was much better and more contemporary. The new packaging of the shampoo and conditioner, look too similar and are hard to open. The tear off tab does not leave a large enough opening. I also preferred the old bottle for the color, I found it easier to pour into the activator. I also think it is unnecessary to have a separate box for the gloves. New packagingThe new packaging of the shampoo and conditioner is worse than the old packaging. It does not tear open at all with wet hands. I had to exit the shower to find scissors and get my floor wet in order to open both packages. The old ones were hard enough to get open but these are mucc worse. Waxy mess!This was my second time using this product. The first time I had no issues but the color did not color my gray areas enough so I decided on giving it a second shot when my next shipment came in. Following directions step by step, I noticed that when I went to rinse my hair, it felt like a clump of wax! I had to wash my hair 4 times to finally get my hair back to normal.
