First time dying my hair by myself*I was too nervous to try, and kept putting it off. Finally, my roots got too long and I opened the box. Everything was neatly packed and easy to read. I appreciated the sticker for the instructions, to stick to my mirror. Every step was straight forward, and I was probably a bit conservative on using the product on my roots, more on that later. My husband had to help me while I was trying to do the back of my head. All in all, application was easy enough. When I took the product into the shower, things got a little difficult. I found it very hard to breathe while doing the final steps. This is likely because my shower is glassed in, no curtain to let fumes out. I plan to try another shower next time. Once washed and dried, I couldn't believe how good my hair looked. I showed it off for the next couple days...until the grey patch reappeared. Right at the front of my head where I usually have my part, it seems the colour washed right out of the area. easy and FASTI bought this kit as somewhat of an impulse buy knowing that I wanted to go darker with my hair but not wanting to buy the boxed dye at the store. My stylist was very helpful picking out my color and listened to my need of wanting to correct the red tones in my previously dyed hair. Start to finish, this process took me about 45 minutes, whereas in the salon to get my hair dyed takes upwards of 2 hours. I also have a LOT of hair, but one bottle was enough to cover it all (they sent me 2). Great color, Great price!Great color at a great price! Covered my grays and matched up with my existing dark brown hair color very well! It wasn’t too dark and hasn’t faded too much after several washes. That is my only complaint, that the color did fade a bit, nothing drastic though. It looks like strawberry blonde on my hairI was surprised by how red it looked on my hair. It took me about 1 month or so to get someone to help me do the coloring. The second one arrived this week and I really don't need it yet so could you wait until about 6 weeks later before you ship the next one. I have adjusted to the color but by then I may want to tone down the red tones I am getting with this formula. I also noticed that my hair texture has changed to be more coarse. Is this normal? My first color experienceI was extremely happy with this I will never go back to store box dye again! They contacted me first about opitions -so send in your picture if possible! The color is beautiful and it is just like salon color- I really like the application process and I cannot wait to do it again! The only down side I would say is that I have really long thick hair so I need more shampoo and conditioner then what they send and I feel they should send 3 pairs of gloves for the 3 steps.
